Taking the masks to market27 Nov 2020 19:52
Evening all, some G&T thoughts for the board....I posted this before the hiccup this week and I think that it is even more relevant now. We really don’t want to be messing around producing masks ourselves on relatively small scale.
For me, the real opportunity here is how they set up their licensing, production and distribution. The market demand is clear, there are daily articles around this, we shouldn't be concerned about that. What we now need to understand is how we will produce and distribute to the market in a scalable way. One machine pumping out 5million masks a month isn't the answer for me.
The more production, licensing and distribution agreements we can tie up with major players who can mass produce and players who can distribute into verticals such as healthcare in specific countries the better. I hope that this is what the consultant is focusing on. You can't just knock on the door of an NHS trust and sell them something, they have certified vendors to buy from.
This is the holy grail IMO. P2F is no resourced to manage mass sales and marketing themselves. Let alone mass production. why worry about all of this when you can outsource and then focus on developing the other plays that the company has.
If you want the P2F mask to become the defacto high end standard then you need to have the right fire power on your side to take it to market.
And as was pointed out earlier, by Monty it's not just masks, P2F this is will also be involved in the filtration of forced air systems, which can be on a global scale.
