Personally, I have no issue with Illbetabuck’s posts. They are his/her opinion based on the current situation.

My view is different, I think there is upside in the share for various reasons, but am I concerned by the points he raises? of course! I’m sure we all are.

I have no time for the “this is going to 1p” band, but it’s always good to get opposing views on a share when it’s supported by an argument.

At the end of the day we don’t know which way it will go, therefore we should expect polar opposite positions from people.

Par for the course on BBs that’s what they are here for!!

I would never advise anyone to do that. I know it’s a marmite subject but I’m not one for increasing exposure more than you were already happy to do.

Positive news about shaft funding being secured or a strategic partner = 6-8p IMO.

The shorts have made so much money there is no reason to close at this point. Without news this share will continue to dwindle. Maybe next week some may jump ship if they think SXX have something positive to say, however, the odds are in their favour! My punt is 20% prob of finding a way out and upside on the current 3p sp. so their odds are significantly better than my current expectation.

That said, there may still be positive news. For what it’s worth the sp will move quickly on any sort of positive news. Best have a strategy on whether you are selling all or any on a rise. Don’t miss a chance to reduce some levels of losses.

Not sure it was planned to fail, but clearly completely mismanaged. Sad state of affairs tbh.

From my perspective the issue is not the product it’s getting to it and getting it out. This is where the risk is. This is why you really need a strategic partner. IMO.

The issue is we have no negotiation power as we are rapidly running out of cash.

Let’s hope there are a few interested parties, at least this gives a bit more leverage.

what do you think will happen to the SP on finance confirmation? I agree it will move quickly but do you think it will re-rate to an amount where there is zero upside? If not then it is just a case of risk & reward and each person needs to evaluate where they are on that scale....

Strab, there is no deadline. Sxx said they aim to have a good idea of alternative funding options by the end of October

I assume they will miss this deadline so best be prepared for a few more weeks before news.

Note as well that it’s a ‘good idea’ of alternative funding options. Not ‘we will announce a deal’.

The DM article took us from 3.5p to 3p so the share moved quickly on speculation. Let’s hope the next news is positive.

I don’t see any massive increase without any news. We are stuck at 3p (ish) till something happens.

Cherokee SXX is a gamble now. Could be nice returns, could lose everything. No one knows what will happen. will the mine get built? Yes IMO, but that isn’t the question. The question is what is the price paid for the necessary funding and what does it mean to investors? I think there is upside on 3p, but in reality no one knows, because no one knows the structure of the rescue package.
