I completely agree with that Bauch. A £200 million sale is the equivalent of 11p per share of cash. £300 million is 16p of cash per share. I’d imagine everyone here would be into 7 figures profit territory. Enough to retire, get fat and become a professional wine taster 😂

The pragmatist in me will take any deal because it’ll give us momentum. Money gives you options. Money reduces the risk of discounted raises. Money gives you the ability to be offensive with renewables and other blocks in the east of Mongolia (which has the same geology as western China: a basin that produces 5 million bopd). Blocks 20 and 7 need to be monetised. They can be sold for all I care. Then we can use the capital to expand.

I’d take any deal. Obviously within reason. Even kroks low ball deal: I’d accept if it was the only one on offer

Also, the market cap is so low that any deal would re rate us imo

Sorry: one point to consider. Many majors have an in house drilling team who will be able to drill much much cheaper $4 million and bring wells online. Something to consider when looking at a partners willingness to take equity for, essentially, in house services

These figures are peanuts in the oil market. If a partner decides to produce 20k bopd in Mongolia we will be on their radar. Soco sold block 19/21/22 for $93 million on 2005. The price of oil averaged about $50 in 2005. There was no refinery on the horizon. Petro China took those blocks and had a peak in production in 2014 of 21k bopd. Now they are in decline.

My point is: if a big player decides to take block 20 and block 7 they’ll have the cash to expand production in a big big way.

And I think that’s what’s about to happen
