Also for those who are complaining that he got to buy at 2p, well we all can do nearly as well now as the price is rock bottom and in this game it seems pulling down average is par for the course. LTHs (and I’m one myself since 2010) I don’t think you can expect a 10 year old investment to pay off without adding to your position especially now at the critical juncture. All imo

Bloomberg explained the gold price dip as funds got sold for cash but the funds contained some gold. But that is mostly over now and so gold is seen as bullish by even gold bears apparently,

Solomon's wealth was largely in gold which is another commodity I've been very interested in at the moment.
I'm owning it in vaults in Zurich through BullionVault and in the Royal Mint in UK bullion coins. If we are headed for a big recession, possibly the biggest on record I don't trust ETFs - I want to own the real McCoy.

One of Elijah's miracles was the oil that continued to flow but perhaps Elisha his pupil gave us a better lesson in that the oil only flowed until all the vessels the widow had found were filled. Had she found more, she would have got more.

On BPC, I was thinking, before the current crisis, that farm in would take this to between 20p to 25p. I'm wondering if there was a farm in announced now what we could expect in the short term? Watching Bloomberg the headlines suggest the drill rigs are sitting about doing nothing - we could probably pick one up quite cheap at the moment. A good time to explore for oil futures?

Can end quicker than it started. Arabia and Russia are fighting an economic war right now but look at the effect Iran had by taking ships in the gulf and the effect of the drone attack on the oil refinery. Oil prices can change quickly. It would be good for energy security of the world’s largest market to have an Arabian sized field on it’s doorstep. All IMO

Ik I don’t think confirmation of reserve other than depth by mid June. Width/area/volume would need multiple drills imo but dyor

I think it should be possible to drill in hurricane season. I worked for AllState insurance and these things are tracked for weeks before they make landfall from far out in the atlantic. It should be possible to up sticks and move the rig out of its way but that would obviously just hit timescales rather than the rig itself being at risk. Is this opinion correct?

What is the problem with yesterdays RNS about the MF? On page 25 in the link provided:-

It should be made clear that all costs of exploration drilling are borne entirely by the licensee – there is no financial obligation of the Government to bear any of the costs for exploration, nor is it anticipated that BPC, will be reliant on proceeds from this Fund to fund drilling activities.
