Disney has movies planned til 2026. Disney plus is a loss making segment for them. Warner/DC has the exact same plan, going all in on Cinema. Netflix is giving theatrical release to its best movies.

But Wolf knows better than them.

They needed to sell Kang as the next Big Bad and Antman QM will do it for them. Disney is busy accumulating market share and scoopingup failed cable channels/media networks. (Warner/hbo is doing the same).

No single movie can save cinema as an industry. BP2 can't even save disney.

500Million is the price for the equity from the current owners(shareholders.). That is, after them presumably taking all the debt as well.

Closing loss making sites is never a bad Idea. It just improves cashflow from all perspectives.

I noticed how number of releases has finally increased. It exceeded 100 for the first time in Sept this year. The pre pandemic is 150-200 average every month.

It is not the blockbuster that is missing in for cinema. The niche releases needed to catch up as well.

Hopefully the pace keeps up and since netflix have started to release into the big screen, we now have an extra studio pitching in.

The SP spikes because the chances of CINE coming out of C11 successfully increased with the agreement. Rightt now, the posibilities given in the dockets are the most likely.

The shareholder's chance is the first restructuring plan that they will provide. That is due on or before the 120 day C11 schedule. Past that, lenders can take the helm.

Cine will have a chance to provide its own recovery plan that the Lenders can agree to.

Or they could refuse and have their own way. D4e, sale, or chopping off cine into splinters. Of course with the judge having to agree with all lenders' concensus.

Disney does not look at all as a promising buyer. But there is literally weeks for the offers to come in. Buying the 2nd biggest cinema company in the world ahead of a recovering Box office is still a good prospect for private/public companies.

CINE'S lawyer pointed out they will entertain offers and Lenders can force a sale if they all agree with the terms. With the help of the Judge, of course.

The bloomberg article already assumes dilution as final and the only thing that could happen.

Mooky's equity has been 'lost' in a sense because the SP dropped from 1£ to 5p. But they have yet to sell their stake and no new shares have been issued. Yet. It looks like bloomberg knows things before they happen.

They could sell assets, close unprofitable sites, renegotiate leases, or even sell parts of the company(regal).

All these are ongoing or being considered. A clearer outlook will be made available as tbe c11 progresses.

Black adam is estimated to be 400m incl 175m us domestic.

Black Panther 2 is expected to be between 700m to 1B. Still no clear estimate.

Avatar 2 can either be a flop or 1B. Nobody knows how viewiers will take the second movie. Part 2 of movies do not tend to exceed ther predecessor.
