Ya not wrong. Funny how quiet it is when the SP starts rising. I have said it before and I will say it again, if this business was all about fundamentals, all accountants would be traders.
The UK market is mental, a 10-15 Million deviation and a third is wiped off the Mcap. Always pays to have a pot of cash on standby, even though I jumped in slightly early.
The bid in November was 1.4 Billion and the board stated that it undervalued the company. The Mcap is now 330 Million, ridiculously undervalued.
I know this business, so I couldn’t resist the drop this morning and took a fair chunk.
I think it is starting to warm up, and about time.
I can’t see this being on the radar of a T/O, Financial Institutions tend to be on the conservative side of the spectrum. The issue here is, at this stage no one knows the extent of the fall out. The average claim I have read, ranges from 1100 pound to 5000, if it is at the higher end it will hurt. There is one thing for sure, the Management claim companies are gearing up like vultures. I agree that this is not Amigo, as they only have 20% exposure, but it will certainly have the volatility of Amigo over the next 6 months.
Isn’t it funny how quiet these BB’s get when the share price starts going up? Lovely movement and still good value.
@Patshare: The 2023 results will be published on the 29th of February. I am shocked, as this day is a Thursday. IAG only ever released Financial results or any other important information on a Friday. It was a British Airways ‘Thing’.
Nice write up in the Times today about the shares being oversold and tipping as a buy. The current valuation is ridiculous.
I have never seen the spread so tight on this share before, interesting.
@Number2: I will be out at 33p, you on the other should have sold out at 77p. I empathise with your bitterness. At 33p imo represents good value for this company.
I know this company, good business, I expect a quick tick up in the coming weeks.
5 years ago, these hit 180p, life is a *****. maybe worth a daft punt?
I will be happy if it bounces to 4 pound by the end of next week.
The trading statement is this Thursday, the 11th. If it is bad, the SP will get slaughtered with an all time low. I believe it will be a bit Goldilocks, but good trading opportunities over the next three days.
