Hello MOS team. I saw the placing late last night and I was a little surprised given the recent placings (queue haters to make a sarcastic comment).
I am interested to see what they tell us about progress over the next few months but appreciating that the SP is at a low level I am pleasantly surprised that they raised that amount with a pretty small discount and the warrants at a level that I think many of us would love to see before the expiry date in 2025. I note that the volume has not been very high the last few months so people need to consider that volume alongside the amount they raised as the more volume a stock has the easier it is for larger placings. So in regard to the amount they have raised alongside the discount that is encouraging to me. I wonder what the presentation to these new investors looked like as clearly they saw something that many here do not?
Small companies need money hence why they are listed and as long as the money goes in the right place for growth then looking forward to seeing progress.
Good luck all and enjoy your days.
Siren. I share that view. I took the other approach and bought a few batches of the stock over the last few months as it's a higher risk approach than what you are saying you will do but works for me. Good luck.
This content has been taken off a recent news article on the WA. Technology website (the tech partner for the new betting venture and a c. 10% holder of MOS shares).
I am taking it at face value so have not fact checked it (would not know how to) but seems positive to me.
"Mexico's iGaming Sector’s Predicted Surge of 70%
Mexico may see 70% growth over the next three years after the reform of the Federal Law of Gaming and Sweepstakes by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador's government. The optimistic estimate is substantially larger than the 2023 projection, with an estimated revenue of around $4,063 million by 2027 – a 39% increase.
The reform, which limits new permits and renewal for slot machine operations in land-based casinos, is expected to shift players towards online platforms, establishing the online sector's expansion. Estimates put the number of Mexicans participating in iGaming activities at a projected 31.6 million by the end of 2028. The regulatory changes position Mexico's iGaming industry as a formidable contender for accelerated growth, despite the conservative outlook for traditional brick-and-mortar casinos."
Yes. We all want success. Of course you guys are the MOS experts but I suspect that this is the type of stock that will move up very fast with the right RNS update so we will just have to be patient and wait for that update. I would imagine that it moves on sentiment, hope and greed rather than income or ebitda. But if it pans out well then as it morphs from a tiny company to a larger company those sort of things will be more important. Buy fear. Sell greed. On that note I may add a little more in the next few days.
Lothbury. Hello. Patiently waiting. Collapse?
Hello all. Just reading up on this company after their rns today. The recent comments are talking about a US investor but I dont think that is correct. Unless I am reading wrong this is the same investor (seriously rich investor) that has a major share of KAV and also a stake in POW. As to drilling the CEO of this company has said on Twitter (x) today that this money allows them to drill and I have not fully got my head around their projects and cash position before this raise but you can do a fair bit of drilling if you have several hundred thousand to throw at it (obviously subject to target depth).
Great to see and if it is successful such a short time to see revenue from the well. Good luck all.
...and add on a 16.6m buy and a 5.4m trade just after that which could be either a buy or a sell. Not been here as long as the rest of you but a 16.6m buy is pretty big for MOS right? It was at full offer price.
Hiya Lothbury. Hope you are doing well on this lovely Friday morning.
I also like to dream big and would not bother investing in a small company if there was not considerable potential, which I believe is the case with MOS.
However 1p dividend talk is crazy (IMO). Although maybe one day possible if they do exceptionally well. Very few AIM companies pay a dividend, after all it is the UKs finest growth market. However 1p would equate to a 2,000 % annual yield for anyone buying today and to buy a stock where you could get that is probably unheard of. I would be happy with a 1p share price (2,000 % return from this level) let alone a 1p annual dividend (2,000 % annual yield from this level).
I like your optimism though! The bulletin board needs a few more people who can see the potential but let's try and keep it realistic.
Personally I am not interested in a dividend. I think they should keep trying to progress things that could add material value and on top of that rather than buy stock I think an alignment of their salaries with a struggling share price would be well received and allow that money to also go towards projects. I did not follow the company closely when they paid a dividend but doubt many would buy and hold an AIM stock for a few percent when you get that with large caps.
And there you go... "I can see UJO potentially going a bit lower but I will certainly double up my UJO shares at the right price".
I would say a few pennies off (i.e. 14 or 15 to buy) and surely it is a screaming buy!
Heid: "For transparency my family hold shares in Union Jack Oil an I now own shares in Reabold."
I also have shares in RBD although I have slightly more money invested in UJO. In my simple view the RBD stock looks cheaper but I believe there are more near term catalysts for UJO.
On UJO I have been looking at the trades recently and the volume is dire (which is similar to many other stocks) and as much as it pains me to say it I can see UJO potentially going a bit lower but I will certainly double up my UJO shares at the right price. Good luck all.
That makes sense. I don't know a great deal about affiliate transactions although many years ago I did work at a company which had an affiliate plan on their website. It certainly could be a good revenue addition but it maybe that they have a contract where they don't earn in the same way that third parties would earn from sending traffic in. For me the most exciting thing about the bet venture in terms of marketing was the capital media being established with the c. 25m audience they have stated (also mentioned on the new site) and since they own a good chunk of the betting business plus are getting paid from this venture I am just looking forward to confirmation that it is near launch etc. This may haunt me but I am pretty relaxed about them marketing it as they seem to have some real movers and shakers involved who have done things in the past so its not a dead cert but I am assuming that they have a reasonable chance of launching and then building something which can take off and as the MOS market cap is so low its a low base to start from.
BTW Lothbury. I have said several times that I feel for anyone who is currently underwater with their shares in MOS. Time will tell if I was lucky to stumble across it at this level which is what I currently think. I can't put that on every post but at the end of the day I have shares which I hold where I am under water and I also have shares that I have sold at a loss. I am yet to meet anyone who has a 100% track record with investing especially where small companies are involved. On the sympathy point I also have absolutely none for anyone playing games with this stock as they have caused many people to suffer losses (some realised losses and others not) if that is what has happened.
Lothbury. Nothing to hide here. I have been very transparent about my buys and if manipulating a share is buying a few over a few weeks then guilty as charged. Before I invested I got a good grasp on the company (surely that is normal research?) and then I have gained a lot more info from the others here (including the haters and I appreciate that info just have found it a bit endless them saying the same thing over and over again). Not sure what your point is and is it not allowed for someone like MOS?
Amtech. I don't think he has done anywhere near as badly as you would like us to believe.
Away from MOS it has been a tough market in the UK small cap world and even looking at the largest UK listed firms many of them are much lower than they were. We reads stories all the time in the papers about the gov plans to try and get some love back to the UK market and who knows in the next hour we may even have the UK ISA (a joke IMO as loads of the UK listed firms have more operations abroad than in the UK).
In terms of ME. He took over a business that would have probably gone bust. He launched the NFT market place. He has booked decent revenue since taking over. He has not actually raised much IMO since taking over for the things done. He has got what attracted me to invest which is a really incredible betting venture. Also he does not bleed the company dry and I think is amongst the lower paid of public company directors (taking salary plus share of the controversial payment which you remind us about daily assuming that is 100% profit to him). So yes I like what he can potentially offer. ✔️💕👍
Lostmoney. Apologies but, as perhaps you intend, it is quite hard to recall much on this board away from your "ME stitched us up" rhetoric. Sincerely though, life is too short and if the company starts to show that the recent plans are coming together as I hope no one will really care about your gripes with the company as the stock market is a forward looking beast.
Citytilidie. I agree with that. People need to look after their heads and look to the future. We all pick a few clangers at times, often that are purely down to the time we held something, but I can pick as many investments that would have worked out well and some exceptionally well, alongside those that did not after I moved my money onto new investments. My biggest mistake with the bad choices has normally been down to size of holding, resulting in a less balanced portfolio, rather than anything else. We are merely shareholders for our time being shareholders. ☮️
Lostmoney. What are you trying to achieve from posting here? Obviously you invested in MOS at some point (one would think). Do you still hold? If so then why do you still hold as you clearly hate the company and it's management? Can you be a little open about what the point of posting here so much is?
The only theory I have come up with about you, other than that you could be short, is that you invested, it did not pan out and now you have a grudge that you can't get over with the management feeling that they are to blame for the investment that did not work out (that's possibly partly true, so far). Even if that's what it is surely life is too short to remain on a small BB like this every day attacking the company and those that like the potential and what the future may offer?
Before you ask.... my reason for posting here is to connect with other investors who see what I have seen. Obviously to discuss the negatives as they come up also.
Lostmoney: this is not an exact counter argument which is what you asked for but my view which clearly is different to yours. This is basically why I invested and have added several times (small amounts for some but important to me).
I don't understand why certain people spend so much time each day reviewing this board and then posting if they are not invested (in one direction or another); to date none of the haters have given a credible, open and honest explanation why they do this. Perhaps some of you could?
In no particular order:
Do the directors want the company to succeed. In my view yes (why would they not) ✔️
Does the new direction (bet) look very interesting. Yes. As long as they can pull it off in terms of getting the service up and running initially. ✔️
Is there any value in NFTs and the other things away from bet. Yes; you can see this from pervious financials and many small companies of this size, and much larger, have never generated a single £ in revenue. ✔️
Is the share price at it's lows. So assuming they make a success of it there is considerable upside potential. Yes. ✔️
And... to humour you. Are people short? Who knows but if they are then a) that is a stupid position to be in IMO and b) that will set a rocket up the share price if the market gets behind it 🚀
Just added 1.5m shares (only just under £800). Looking forward to seeing how this develops as we seem to have a good mix of supporters and haters. Just hope some of the haters are short! 💕💕💕💕
