Thermos is lab based so will be more sensitive for use in a study like this but also difficult to roll out on a national scale. Still plenty of room for ABC 19 in my view

I dont get the hysteria today. The MC is supported by Non-Covid portfolio and only NCYT has really benefitted from the announcements as they are already shifting masive volume of kits. Im not sure the AVCT RNS even mentioned the new strain

Merchant i read somewhere that AIM rules state they can't RNS any internal news that was known before a director buy until 30 days have passed since the purchase. Do you know if that is true or not? Assuming if it is true it may explain the situation around mologic antigen. The 30 days would be due on Jan 2nd

I think the hold up for ABC-19 is more to do with needing to define the strategy for what happens after an antibody test i.e will we have immunity passports, can we trust results generated by the public to provide immunity status? We just need MHRA/government to make a decision on this as once they have this product will sell like hot cakes in the private market.

We know the test performs very well when administered by a professional but there will be a drop off in performance with at home testing due to usability. No matter how simple you make the test setup Joe Public will find some spectacular ways to mess it up.

I dont have a downer on Avacta but I do have a downer on some of their moronic posts on our BB.

NCYT are selling a laboratory test for antigen which is already part of established government strategy

ODX are manufacturing an antibody test and transferring an antigen test for, hopefully, home use but at the very least use in far lower healthcare settings the use if which will be tied into government strategy for the next phase of rollout.

Its therefore possible that they are under NDA with the government as the gov wish to finalise and announce strategy themselves especially when you consider potential knock ons of antibody tests such as immunity passports or individuals who act like they are immune after a positive antibody test.

The at home/ lower healthcare setting also requires some thought and new processes putting in place to deal with reporting and non compliance. It will all come in due course.
