I certainly dont disagree with that Simon. Im as eager as the rest to hear any update on the antigen test. i do wonder about how much is under NDA though

Orders for ABC-19 can only be made by the UK government currently and are subject to tendering processes (i cant remember the dates on the antibody testing tender maybe someone can remind) they cannot sell externally until they either get approval from DHSC or February 15th which is when the agreement expires.

As soon as we start to see mass immunity in the population either through infection or vaccination then the virus will be under a darwinian selection pressure.

Viruses mutate at a rapid rate largely as they move through generations so quickly eventually a mutation will occur which alters the antibody binding sites. This virus will have a huge evolutionary advantage and rapidly reproduce and become dominant in the population. At this point we will need new vaccines.

Fortunately with the Increase in power of nucleic acid sequencing technologies in the last 20 years monitoring will detect mutations quickly (as we have already seen) and with precedent in place for the vaccine it should not take a large amount of time to develop a new one and potentially include antigens for multiple strains in the same vaccine

This board gets filled with more crap every single day. Surescreen have orders for ANTIGEN tests. ABC-19 so cut it out with the disingenuous comparisons between the 2. Antibody will be more useful a little down the line from our current crisis point.

Theres enough market in the UK and worldwide for both companies to sell antigen tests once technical transfer has been satisfactorily completed.

DubleD i have a golden rule in that i dont listen to simple negative remarks that dont include all elements and factors. Its kind of a side effect of the scientific method ive lived by most of my life.

With minimal thought off the top of my head your statement doesn't include consideration of third party involvement, regulatory body involvement, non disclosure agreements and tendering processes. So yes no sales announced so far but far too simple of a statement.

The markets seem depressed everywhere you look today but the dermapers link it to the company, board, CEO and PR.

Admittedly the PR is not great but in the case of ABC-19 they are awaiting third parties for potential MHRA approval, government contracts where tenders have closing dates in the relatively near future AND they must first await Abingdon.

In the case of Mologic all technical transfers are not the same the timelines will differ and we need to be patient to hear the outcome.

So the question is why is it today the negative posting seems to be excessive? Simple. Markets are deflated and people are using that to manipulate the message and blame the company for todays drop

From a cold, logical point of view im not so worried about false positive results at a societal level as they simply mean an individual has to isolate for a period (hence why the view is cold as there is obvious economic and potential psychological harm to the individual)

False negatives are more of a concern however we did see on the MHRA antigen approval that a negative result should not be taken to mean you can act in a different manner.

If these LFTs can actively find a proportion of positives that would not have been found due to limited access to lab testing then they will assist cutting the chain of transmission. Thats the value for me

This is my first investment and I've heard many people say its a strange one. I think what ODX has taught me over the last year is that I'd prefer to spend my time on the stock market investing for the mid to long term.

The day traders always seem to be an anxious mess either ramping or deramping in frankly embarrassingly simple and transparent posts.

I'm a scientist myself and Omega for me seem to hold a lot of cards with a foot in a government backed antibody test and also a foot in an exciting antigen test. New curveball is potential development alongside avacta. I believe LFTs can expand capacity to increase the reach of testing even though they admittedly cant match performance of PCR.

All that alongside ramp up of hiring gives me confidence to leave my money here for another 6 months.

Yep and Novacyt was £12 GDR was £3 Synairgen was £2 Avacta nearly £2 none have recovered from the day of the pfizer announcement as of yet. ODX is definitely taking a little longer than i expected but IMO will still come good.

Hani1 i suggest you look at the performance of this share over the last lets say 10 trading days and compare that against the other covid stocks.

They had to approach ma l ta to ensure the regulatory approval of CE mark carries over after brexit. The government still holds first refusal on the arc 19 test unfortunately

I cant see how this will affect our SP without a contract/hard evidence. Its all been twitter chat and a dubious tweet from BBI so far
