Remember the "rise" is only calculated on the spread... and the Ask was raised. Seems like there are fewer wishing to sell....

With copper prices on the rise, and reliance on China being finally questioned, the punt is probably worth it.
I, too, am relatively new to this share, and bought in more on the recent rises and falls... but am still now 20% down.
If news doesn't drop and the SP does instead, and it stays low until mid August, I will buy more. Funds allocated elsewhere which can't be moved.
Good luck however you decide. Some good posters on this BB with good background knowledge.

Fear not, I don't think anyone believes that traders chat using trades: that's what WhatsApp is for :)))
But I don't think it would be past some of those spread-betting firms to throw a trade or two into the mix...

Certainly it looks like 2020 was really pretty **** income-wise, but they have stock to sell...

To add to this, LR (from last week) insinuated that he was "rather" fed up with whoever was driving it (SP) down based on where he believed they stand...

bsg4 - I hope you're wrong, but the constant chunky sells don't point to a good news event about to drop; rather the opposite, which usually spells delay in mining... Annoying as I only jumped into this relatively recently for a quick win: blind faith/optimism and greed getting the better of me. We learn something new every time on AIM... :)))
But of course all too happy to be proved wrong.

HfP - welcome back. Hope you're doing ok.
The problem with this share is that there is almost no news from BOIL themselves to go on... only the occasional high level corporate statement; and that's because we aren't even at the drilling stages in any of our activities. It's all still paper asset.
What is equally unnerving is that these little flutters of trading activity moving the price up and down in large % increments (but in reality very little actual value) are for ostensibly no reason; certainly not on the back of material news. Which makes me think that any rise is just another market ruse... SpreadEx and the like paying us attention for a day or so before losing interest.
Would love to be wrong.
The FOMO keeps me locked in with a sizeable amount across a few ISAs. But these blips no longer do it for me, even a whopping 17% or whatever it was on Friday. I will take real news over an unsubstantiated rise any day.
And one day it will happen.
