bizarre reality is if Elon Musks pop up with a "bitty 2 da moon!" tweet.... the ARB sp goes up to 180 minimum
funny how some are reluctant to buy in at 120 but are happy to buy at 160 after a massive spike. Don't let emotion judge your decision making. The future of ARB is massive
can easily see the US storm to $2.50 tonight after London closes
it's been a long time since we've been able to say this but "YOU DON'T WANNA BE OUT OF THIS OVER THE WEEKEND!"
the good times are rolling back #DYOR #GLA
US will be key to this rise. We'll see how far they take it tonight and we should open up stonkingly well tomorrow at 8am. Bitcoin has risen almost 5k non-stop since yesterday afternoon too. We are approaching a perfect storm
WHAT IS HAPPENING!! OH MY DAYS
@ultrashort why consider coinbase? personally i think investors are exposed to far more risks with a crypto exchange than a miner. Coinbase has been in consistent decline since IPO yet even now its mcap is valued at close to $50 billion. ARB is what £500m right now? ARB is more diversified and has more potential. A much better investment imho
big buyer loaded up with a half milly of shares in after-hours. If bitcoin returns to 33k by tomorrow morning, we'll easily be back in 130 range. Everyone seems to talk about a small drop in bitcoin spot price but forget the massive £13m ARB buy a few days ago. If there is anything to have been learnt over the last few months, its sp and btc spot price don't always go hand in hand. bitcoin may fall further, but no one would be surprised in a climb back to 35k
Absurd sp drop since bitcoin hasn't dropped. Probably some whales looking for a cheaper buy in price. It was only two days ago we were at 165 a share, and a few days before that the £13m buy came in ffs. Remember we have the Pluto IPO in a few weeks. The upside is massive.
165 wasn't even a few weeks ago. It was last Thursday!
I think influencers like Pomp were hoping El Salvador news would lead to a surge to break resistance at 42k. In reality, there has been no influence on BTC spot price. In order to turn around negative sentiment, the quality of good news is more important than the quantity. Saylor et al need to have a private word with Musk and focus on green mining, future adoption etc., rather than company x will now take bitcoin (for a few weeks)
I immediately think of Dominic Cummings' damning confession about Matt "the care home killer" Han****'s incompetence, followed by Downing Street's attempt to bury bad PR with the news Boris Johnson has married again
@calamari agreed we have to start somewhere. I think I was trying to point more towards influencers trying "too hard" to push positive PR to counter negative sentiment. Bitcoin has already received a bad rap with memecoins and Elon Musk messing about etc., the El Salvador adoption news is the country's president (a 30 something Trump admirer who resorts to using the army to intimidate legislators) considering bringing in legislation to rectify a situation borne out of corruption and economic mismanagement.
We don't know yet if this another gimmick. What is the digital infrastructure like in El Salvador? to release news like this in the hope of p.umping up bitcoin - just to later hear it's not gonna happen is worse than not doing it at all. I just did a quick 2 min research and came across this insight: "Similarly, only one-third of participants had mobile data plans but 78 percent reported using Facebook and WhatsApp. This suggests that young people are using wifi connections instead of data plans" If El Salvadorians are reluctant to use mobile data (because of high costs), what is the feasibility bitcoin will be used as legal tender? Not trying to de-ramp, but I think breaking news for BTC needs to be bigger (or at least, further along) than this
RE El Salvador.... wasn't happy with this news TBH. I feel bitcoin needs to grow organically and focus attention on its role as a digital asset and green mining. Though well intentioned, some influencers + KOLs appear to try too hard by hyping up "big news" just for it to be about a poor central American country with the highest murder rate in the world, ruled by a Trump-style autocrat. It is a bad look for bitcoin and further feeds the image crypto is not transparent and linked with crime. DId anyone watch the conference? There was a keynote speaker who suddenly got up, stripped off his suit and screamed dogecoin to the moon. He ended up being thrown out by security. What a mess.
....There were some high hopes for Miami, but it seems like it was just a party . Bitcoin needs to be better than this and those with a platform need to act more responsibly if mass adoption is a real objective.
shame about the loss of momentum into the weekend. The sp was looking very resilient recently with stability at 165 yesterday. I'm getting ARB close at 140 ? We go again next week lads and ladettes. Brighter days ahead. GLA ATB DYOR
bitty sure knows how to play games. 4k drop to shake out weaker hands fearing another big dip, then a rise just before the yanks open. Very impressed with how ARB has stayed stable despite the volatility. Indicates changing sentiment and big recent buy ins
@xenor wise words. Everyone has a few stories of buyers/sellers remorse. Its the nature of investing and hindsight. As long as you ultimately break even/make profit, it's happy days. I also confess to selling some shares in ARB near the bottom (118p) so i'm disappointed at my momentary paper hands after having the diamond balls to not sell any from the fall from 270p. It teaches you that patience, literally just staying away and doing something else, will usually earn you more money in the long run. I was out for 1 day but couldn't help checking the bitcoin price as I was sure i'd made the mistake of selling early. I then bought back in the next day as i feel near future outlook looks very positive. My average went up slightly but i'm glad I bought back some ARB as the past 2 days performances puts me into profit now. Profit is profit and that can never be sneared at. Looking forward to 8am tomorrow - just hope bitcoin stays at 40k
Lads and ladettes, the tide has truly turned. Onwards and upwards!
Agree. It's best to sell up on traditional services and invest in emerging tech. That's where the money is. Look at Argo Blockchain (ticker: ARB)
we can all chip in a few quid to get Pearls to serve champagne and canapes
