Fly BA or EZY then. Why would that have anything to do with coming in here shouting baseless comments that Flybe will go oust - caveat THEY WONT.
Like this muppet. Gray bird - please do tell me why Flybe will be going bust?? How much cash/equity/debt do they have? How much cash have they raised recently? How much working capital have the SAID they will have.
Assuming it’s right for staff is what I think you meant. A lot of people up and down the UK are employed by Flybe, I would much prefer to see a lower bid accepted which is the right bid. You better believe BALPA will have something to say about it.
Dotlink. Why the hell would TUI or TC be interested?? AF/KLM will shortly own 31% of virgin. Google it ;-)
Nowhere did I find any information on the previous Stobart offer. Posters spouting that the bid was 40p so why would it be higher, show me where it is shown that it was 40p??? The SP was 40p at that time and the offer was turned down. FACTS. I’m ready for another positive day on the SP and a tedious day on the BB. Zzzzzzzzzzz. ATB.
Still here, still reading, still financially invested, still very much personally invested in the outcome of all this. Not posting as much for the reason that this board is now a waste of time. The same information in being repeated numerous times daily, bashers talking nonsense, rampers talking nonsense, minute by minute updates on the share price. Any relevant information I or others post is just lost.
Don't shoot the messenger...
For clarity after further discussion we clarified that the AM slots were worth considerably more so my guesstimate was a little high. However...
Since that post they have taken on the extra slots with the NQY flights. So 11 slots.. £10-15m average.. £150m. Granted they don't OWN them but it shows the potential value to Virgin/AF/KLM/Delta and why BA/IAG wouldn't want them to takeover...
How do you arrive at that value??? Struggling to find much on BMI really, but in 2010 they made losses of well over £100m on a turnover of €900m.. That’s me done anyways, time for a few pints of sam smiths stout :-)
Guys please stop repeating the same stuff - we are all aware of IAG / Virgin interest and articles. There is enough to read as it is!!! 3500+ posts in a week.. zzzzzzz ExtC, yes, exactly this, it’s not JUST Virgin. This is two serious and big bidders/consortiums/groups (whatever you want to call it) both have reasons FOR buying Flybe and just as big reasons to STOP the other from buying Flybe... I think the shorters (dumbass spreadbetters) are all drinking themselves silly expecting a margin call in the morning.. HAHA.
Ignore the negative comments dude. We all do what is right for ourselves. Hope whatever it is it can be sorted. ATB.
So a £75m buyout price. With two heavy weights fighting it out (remember Virgin is AF/KLM/Delta as well) 35p is very conservative now IMO, see BMI post below....
IAG paid £172.5m for BMI back in 2011/12, at that time BMI had losses of £130m for just 9 months of the year. £130m!!!!! They did have 56 slots at LHR although BA had to give up 14 of them.
Interesting virgin offered just £50m. So IAG made sure they got what they wanted and STOPPED Virgin.
Flybe have made a £7m profit for the first 6months of the year. And with the continuing fleet reductions, POO, GBP and brexit forward looking projections should be profitable. Plus the LHR slots.
I was originally looking for 35-40p. I think however if BA/IAG decide they want Flybe and more importantly they don't want Virgin to take over they will make sure of it again. The question then is will Virgin and Branson just roll over like they did last time??
Very very difficult now to have a target in mind. But I will be sitting on my hands this week!!!!
They don’t own the slots. This is great news. Not so much for this BB with the herd arriving there is going to be EVEN more tedious nonsense to read through. I hope COW go for what is best for the company AND staff and not just the highest bidder, lots at stake.
#itoldyouso what a result!!!
Just heard from the base captain at XXX that the deal has been done.. Let’s see what next week brings.
Have they bought any share tho? Nope. 70p seems a lot to me, £150m.. not sure. If it there is a bidding war then maybe. It depends who the other parties are tho and how keen they are to take control.
Read the trading update.
As far as I was aware the offer was never published, just that terms could not be agreed. The SP at the time was around 40p - hence where the figure came from. BoD have bought shares around that price. The IIs much higher I would think and they will be the decision makers. £100m is around 45p. For Virgin/AF/KLM/Delta I would say that’s pretty cheap when you value in the LHR slots and the considerable feed traffic. I hope they would look to do more than just feed traffic and keep some of the regional/city/summer routes from a personal stand point...
Firstly, it’s not just Branson that owns virgin. When the initial RNS came out about the sale they dated numerous parties were involved. Do you really think it was leaked by virgin... really??? As several of us told you NO WAY was 15p being excepted!!!
I’m well aware what it does and doesn’t allow. It effects landing capabilities. And generally when you take off you would hope to land.... The weather at CDG was such that landing wasn’t possible.. so if they couldn’t land in Paris there wouldn’t have been a plane there to take off.... Weren’t you trolling last week as well. Sad.
