Ben Richardson, CEO at SulNOx, confident they can cost-effectively decarbonise commercial shipping. Watch the video here.
They 100% do not have all the leverage.
Virgin have there own engineering. Where do MAEL do any work for Virgin. Any???? They don’t as far as I am aware...
Almost as if a few people on here know what they are actually taking about isn’t it.... ;-) Sad to see but was always very much on the cards. As normal, bad management decisions have cost a lot of good people there jobs.
Good post ExtC. Hope you are well.
Interestingly I have now heard similar things from a few separate sources. No smoke without fire and all that.
Candid. A valid opinion and well constructed post. Unfortunatey complete wrong ;-)
WOW.
If "by your reckoning" MTR are now worth 1.1p what were they worth a few months ago when you were quoting "8p" or "pick a number"
Doesn't look good for your credibility mate. You are either talking shit now or being deliberately deceptive then??
On a personal note - i am feeling very positive here!!!
Looks like those with patience and conviction will soon be rewarded.. Any retail spreadbet muppets i would seriously urge you to close them. ASAP.
Watch this space ;-)
Absolutely no way should this happen. It is NOT good sense to rely on third party maintenance especially at main bases. If you understand the industry you should know why.
That article isn't even worth quoting. Its some blokes blog, that's it.
Just writing for the sake of it to get his website some traffic.
Eastern have considerable cash and yes codeshare with Flybe but as far as I see that is all. They have been around for years and years if they wanted to really push into the regional market they would have done it years ago when they had the opportunity and the sector wasn't as competitive.
Basically the guy knows nothing and has trawled through PPrune for his information. Yawn.
More collective knowledge on all of this from a few of us on here than all of these "journalists" have combined.
Off to DUS tomorrow for the xmas markets.. hope the trusty Q400 doesn't let me down!!!! :-)
Gray bird. That has to be one of the daftest posts you have done so far and a complete waste of your own time. Rather than just guessing figures.. how about just read the trading updates. Doh. Good effort tho ;-)
I think people need to look at what Greatland have recently announced before they start picking the bones of MTRs purchase. Very different from 0.6p.
Just had a little look at TCG.
They appointed a new CFO from the 1st Dec.. £420k a year!!! Unbelievable!!!!!
Yep. A simple check would have shown zero shorts as of 30/Nov. It was only ever 1% anyway so not an issue.
But hey, don't let that stop you posting stupid price targets.
Nice find ExtC.
Not remotely surprised.
The assumption that it will be an II will provide the US$64m may not come to pass. We know there have been numerous site visits by various parties, may well see one of the potential suitors take a stake??
My line maintenance comment was tongue in cheek mayfield and no offence taken at all!!!!
I only have hearsay in regards to the disagreement between the two parties and so am not willing to post as such. If however, what i heard is correct then Flybe could have easily - if they wanted to - sorted it out. Which to me says they didn't want to. Now whether that was down to being unhappy with MAELs performance and being unwilling to pay for that service or was it down to our potential purchaser not wanting to be tied to such a maintenance contract??
Hi Mayfield. My not elaborating was more in regards to how MAEL have ended up where they are and me not wanting to say something i shouldn't..
The ST artice you refer to, is it the cityAM one?
MAEL were providing line maintenance at MAN + BHX and base/hangar maintenance at BHX, around 20 aircraft a night would be my guess, with 3 or 4 going into the hangar for various tasks.
As i am not 100% sure i have read the article you are referring to I will make an assumption on the engine maintenance contract. It is another piece of shoddy journalism. Engine components are frequently change on the line or in the hangar, as are engines themselves, this is no different from changing a wheel or a light bulb (obviously a little more involved and technical) but still performed by the same staff. Engine maintenance as is alluded to is carried out by the engine manufacturer "off wing" in a shop, the engine is stripped down, serviced, and rebuilt - very interesting actually.
While not ideal, this has been on the cards for sometime and as I said Flybe have been astute in planning for these events utilising various other avenues. Once the dust settles it will be a positive IMO.
I have asked myself is this all part of the takeover? And i'm honestly not sure if it is or im just adding 2 + 2 and getting 5.
And please don't call line maintenance mundane ;-0
This has been ongoing for some time. MAEL has been ran into the ground, I could elaborate but probably best I don’t. From what I understand Flybe have been very prudent in their planning for this event and are actively trying to help MAEL staff.
Sunday share tips: Flybe, Meggitt Sun 15 April 2018 17:15 Worst attempt yet. Embarrassed for you.
