Levis..one other source of particulate matter is clutch plates and brake linings...obviously EVs have no clutch and are mostly 'one pedal' re-generative driving so their brakes hardly get used.

I Expect the enviromental cost of storage would be less than the existing cost of dragging fosil fuel out of the ground and also having to re-house flood fire victims, and to house most of Africa when it becomes uninhabitable.... Not to mentionthe sadness caused by the millions of people dying from alzheimers such as my own parents, is it inconcievable that all the Neurological Disorders \ tumors so common today are because perhaps maybe by toxic exhaust gasses certainly deadly in concentration that may also be toxic in dilution ?

Looks like wind is even paid to dump energy as currently the grid can't handle it - nowhere for it to go...EV will act like storage, incentives to charge at those times...avoiding constraint payments.

GS it's less than that in the UK I would imagine, with older Leafs 24Kw, 40Kw, newer 60Kw... Bmw i3 22kw, 33Kw Renault Zoe, 22Kw + newer 41Kw keeping the average down.

Unless you have a very long commute with no charge possible at the destination then 40Kw is more than enough for day to day...just charging once every 7-10 days at home..on a low tariff 12p\Kwh...12 x 40Kw = £4.80p ish to give 170 miles or on a free point nearby if you have one. Actually the battery owned Zoe seems like good value.
