In a letter to Peel Ports, the council said that was “not what I wanted to explain” at the United Nations Climate change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow in November.
Responding to the noise, Mr McSporran said: “We are addressing concerns over the use of generators to supply electricity to the two ships, and are working with ship and electrical engineering firms to design coastal power options.
“I want to show that the use of generators is standard practice in ports all over Great Britain.
