Ideally it would be wrapped up soon, at least a paltry offer, to bring out other bidders. The market seems to be pricing in an offer at or near to the 40p mark. That's the only reason it hasn't gone up. None of these journos have the balls to put a price on the company.

WS Atkins was below 50p at one point because of cashflow issues etc. Nothing wrong with the ongoing business. It went for £20.

There is clearly a high degree of scepticism this deal will go through. How often do you see a company get taken out for 3 or 4 times there share price after an approach?

WS Atkins is a very good example. Similar design engineering consultancy. IF the underlying business is sound - see Order Backlog of billions, then no issue.

Looking forward to seeing how much the interest will be on ICC2. And SMP to follow closely on in March.
