Ara are spending a small fortune on the 3d seismic exploration working on dreadful terrane and what with apparently 2/3 months of analysis hopefully underway, would they proceed to drilling CH 1well if they believe as Mick does, it's all a hyped up pup?

If as we all hope CH-1 confirms at least a significant gas discovery, will both Wen and AEX be more vulnerable to takeover ?

We have to accept the risk the well could be dry but then again, why are Ara spending so much on exploration if little chance of success ?

Well I'm not a subscriber to Phoenix but my guess is this article very much proves Brian Hall made the right choice which guaranteed our acreage would be professionally explored and exploited which, as we know has a free carry. A significant discovery at Ck1 would be the icing on the cake. for him. Bring it on.

Well, whatever the gas pressures are now, safe in the knowledge they are obliged to drill Chikumbi 1 well, if the November spud date remains, we should know if the acreage is as prolific as we all hope and pray it is !

Thanks to you Crusty for a summary of the AGM news that I asked you for. It seems Chikumbi1 well spud is still set for November. With big raises likely down the line, so much depends on the outcome of the November drill. I suppose the next landmark is the interpretation of the 3D Seismics which I hope supports the BOD's apparent optimism.

Crikey, goodwill breaking out everywhere ! I do hope nobody will put one on Santos. With very limited resources, in my view he's done a reasonably fine job. I would love to be there with you all but in my survival year of 86 years on, not sure if I can make it. Shame because although a batterea boy, when I got demobbed in the 50's I go a job at 33 Victoria Street. As well, the family has strong connections due to my Grandad who was an actual Dray driver for Watney Combe & Reed Victoria Brewery. My lovely dad was one of twelve brothers and sisters, living in Peabody Tenement Buildings , Abbey Orchard Street just 500 yards from the walls of Westminster Abbey. Wonder if it's grim as it was when I last went there.

It reinforces my view there are far more positives with Aminex plc than there are negatives.
We are in the middle of a vacuum awaiting News and easy to lose belief.
Several will have jumped ship but I'm sure there is a really thrilling ride to come ! Bring it on.

Surely there must be considerable benefits by the fact Chikumbi 1 well is onshore ?
I imagine offshore Rig costs are hugely more expensive and far more risky maintenence wise.
Also, if and when we get to production, I imagine again onshore costs are operationally much lower.
All guesswork for me but would any of you experts out there kindly enlighten me with any other benefits, thanks.
