In today’s Daily mail ~ less than half the fleet of Hawk T2’s is available because the aircraft’s engines spontaneously combust due to an unsolved technical fault. These planes are used to train RAF pilots and these pilots are being sent to the USA and Italy to train. Joint RR/Turbomeca engine.
Are all you long terms really in for the long term? And if so for how long? If the share hit £8 tomorrow would you sell, or carry on holding for a “long term” that none of you care care to elaborate on. Not all long termers win, ask people that bought in 6 years ago ( long term, right), they are showing a loss. You are not in for the long term, you are just waiting for the price to be where you want it before you sell.
The three new nuclear sites will power upto 18 million homes until 2050, at least, new wind turbines are being built every year, and I didn’t include hydro or tidal power. My point is I can’t see there being much call for very many SMR’s in the uk. Maybe sell them overseas.
So if sizewell can power up six million homes, and Hinckley point can power up six million homes, then this new plant will also power up six million homes, total 18 million homes, when you factor in solar and wind powering up to five million homes, that only leaves approx three million homes left ( 2 SMR’s ).
So your posts in January/February about this Indian order being positive were just talk.
Plus it’s how the rest of the sector will view this news, no one wants to work with crooks ( well maybe except the government ) 😂
think you are all missing the point, which is the government is willing to invest 500 million in a new battery plant. so they are not sitting on their hands when they see a good business plan. so to all those posters on here that constantly **** off the government the facts are plain to see. rolls may get an investment but as a few posters on here have eluded to, this probably won’t happen until at least next year.
Doesn’t matter what you think, the government is giving the car maker five hundred million, and they plan to employ up to nine thousand jobs in Somerset. Rolls won’t pass the second part of their SMR approval until Oct 2024, if they pass it? so there is no rush to announce any funding until at least next year.
