, the last sentence, I can only interpret as the area should be so large that the world heritage should not be affected by activities outside the area.

He did resolve it in as much as such a thing can ever be resolved...it is for the Government to decide on the balance; a cultural benefit (how many words there are for snow was the example given of an indirect cultural effect) and the prosperity of the people in Jokkmokk, those who don't herd reindeer, which is most of them. And the Government are working on these matters, we've seen reports of such committees recently. That isn't an apology by the way, it's the facts as I know them.

They can turn it into a World Heritage Site when it's finished its productive life.
