Rainbow Rare Earths Phalaborwa project shaping up to be one of the lowest cost producers globally. Watch the video here.
Sorry everyone, I'm not a cut and past fan, but rather than you all have to read through loads of blurb, I think the following paragraph perhaps gives a little confidence in those emerging Eastern European Markets: Growth in emerging and developing economies is expected to rise to about 6 percent in 2010, following a modest 2 percent in 2009. The new projection reflects an upward revision of almost 1 percentage point. In 2011, output is projected to accelerate further. Stronger economic frameworks and swift policy responses have helped many emerging economies to cushion the impact of the unprecedented external shock and quickly re-attract capital flows.
Afternoon all, now I ask you all, would a share jump over 26% unless there was something brewing??? I must say that for all the ramping accusations for JJ he has posted some interesting information for us all - some of it is obviously tying up with what Hibel said. No smoke without fire, but it would be great to see some positive news to set this flying. Good things come to those who wait la la la la!!! Where's my errant lover?? Northern have you run off with Winston? M6RKT looks like it will be a game of singles before hot tub and Cristal!!! LOL
I guarantee that he wouldn't but that's where we women can be lethal - lull the poor guy into a sense of false security so that he reveals all .... LOL If we send John Jack AKA Jammin from III Mr Hibel might be tempted to take him on as head of PR for Engel!
Yes I quite agree with you and when I was trying to draw him on further information I could easily be wrong but I didn't get the impression that they were about to fold, they still have a number of staff in the office and I was passed around a bit before I managed to speak to him. He was also very upbeat about Avram Nota joining the company.
It is quite remarkable that whilst this company has been in the doldrums and there has been little to discuss apart from a little light hearted banter, there have been few posters expressing any opinion at all. Johnjack, whilst it would be a dream come true for all of us if your comments were factual, I have my doubts and a very real concern as to your motives. If you all read back through the posts - ignoring the fun stuff of course, you will see that I had both spoken and e mailed Mr Samuel Hibel with questions from several posters on this board. A copy of the e mail is also posted. You will also see from my further comments that to date I had had no reply. After the somewhat over enthusiastic posts from JJ I decided to again call Mr Hibel, who incidentally is a very difficult man to get hold of, and have just come off the phone now. He was very charming and said that there has been nothing concrete to comment on, but that we can expect an announcement within the next couple of days. There have been talks with several companies regarding possible takeover but to date nothing is on the cards - at least as he quite rightly said, nothing that he would be able to tell me. Discussing the property markets, he said that whilst the market in Poland and Czech is improving by the day, Hungary continues to be a problem, two major things affecting the market there - Hungary has raised vat by 5% and cancelled their social policy of rewarding people financially for having children. Apparently there was a grant for each child born so young families will now have less money to spend on houses that they are immediately having to pay at least 5% extra for. Without these new buyers coming to the market it will affect the whole chain just as it does here in the UK. I tried my hardest to get a feel of whether it would be good news or bad from the expected RNS but he was tight lipped. However, he did say that the next time they are coming to London that he would like to meet up as he enjoyed talking to a woman who had such a good knowledge of the European property market and - his words not mine! Now take from that last comment what you will. I read it that he certainly plans to be around with Engel for the forseeable future. Either that or Northern you have sent him a photo of me!!!! (Just kidding guys) I would love to be able to give you all wonderful news but I suspect there isn't any yet.
Hi Johnjack, welcome on board, it's great to have such an enthusiastic poster join us. But I have to ask, am I missing something here, this was reported and discussed when it was announced that Avran Nota was to join Engel a few weeks ago. We have been waiting for an update and perhaps a Chairman's statement but they have been noticable by their silence. An e mail was sent to Samuel Hibel asking him to clarify certain questions but to date there has been no reply. Interesting read on Nota's involvement with Quinlan and SCD - shows that he has the merit and ability to engineer such a huge project, perhaps we can expect similar jvs for Engel in the near future. Nice to see a small rise today after yesterday's disappointing finish. Hope to hear much more from you. Best regards Susie
Where have you been all of my life??? I've been trying to hold off the insatiable Northern and his 3 feet and M6RKT and his hot tub bubbles. I insist that you defend my honour Winston.. Great to have you back.
Evening all. I wish I had something good to report to you all but still no reply. I may even give him a call again tomorrow just to poke him in the ribs!!! God I think my daughter has just tried to kill me, she took me for a 3 mile run across the heath - ran a mile, power walked a mile and limped home on the last. Got to tone up the lardy ar5e - I'm spending too much time at the computer so I'm getting fit for our tennis match, Northern, Winston and I think Mark (M6RKT) will have to join in too - get ready boys, I've got a wicked forehand!
Yes you did but it was hilarious and made me laugh. I must say that I've yet to meet a man who becomes less inhibited with a cold - most of them are dying and can't even say the word - yes you've got it, IDIBITED or loosely translated, "I'b really really ill and need, TLC, cup of tea, sandwiches, the papers and the TV remote" Am I making sense??? Mind you, I'm going to take it as a compliment from you so thank you.
Hi guys, I keep checking my inbox, but not even an acknowledgment e mail yet - How rude!! Now the redhead is getting mad!!!! Have you ever seen sparks come out of a woman's eyes and flames of wrath from her mouth - DON'T ANYONE ANSWER THAT!!! Will let you all know the minute I hear anything - if I hear anything - Northern, I agrEEE I am predicting 12p by the end of the year and 50p within 2 years
Why is it when we get no buys, the sp goes up and then we get buys and it goes down???? Just to let you all know that I sent the e mail to Mr Hibel today - I only changed it slightly to keep Herbie happy. I've only just come back in the office - had a lovely day day at the dentist - to have my wisdom tooth out - that's it I'm gonna be stupid from now on!!! I've got a hot date tonight - dinner, champagne and hot tub - not necessarily in that order - how can I do that with a swollen face! Bu55er!!!!!! Mark, I'll think of you when I'm in the hot tub lalalalalala I hope everyone on here has a great weekend and we get some good news on Monday. Regards, Susie
Morning all, what a flaming drive yesterday, traffic jams all the way, it took 5 hrs to get from Harlow to Dorset. Had to have two Anadin washed down with two large glasses of Chablis before I felt human again! Thanks for the comments on the letter, I'll amend it slightly and send it in a while - will copy final draft for you all to see. It should hopefully answer a lot of unanswered queries. Mark if you get the hottub, we're all coming around - I'll bring the Chablis!!! Have a great day all. Best regards, Susie
Afternoon my 'ansomes. I've just typed out the letter to e mail to Mr Hibel, can you two have a look at it and if there is anything that you think needs changing let me know. M6RKT I don't know about spokesperson but I don't mind being everyone's virtual PA!! We all want the same thing here and I just happen to be the one who can type the fastest!!! I'm away until tomorrow night but will check for your replies on my blackberry. E mail won't go until Friday am though. SusieB Dear Mr Hibel, Further to our telephone conversation yesterday, it was a pleasure to be able to finally speak to you. As I mentioned to you, there are a few of us private investors who have grouped together and whilst we all hold shares and support the Company there are issues which continue to be a concern to us and with respect we ask that you answer our questions as best as you can so that we may continue as Engel shareholders and hopefully grow with the Company. Our questions are as follows: 1 In your opinion do you consider Engel to have a viable future within such a volatile global market. 2 How do Engel propose to rectify the current financial situation and what actions will be taken to move the Company forward towards a successful future 3 Are buyers being sought in the short term for any of the major developments to improve the cash flow situation 4 As the new CEO, does Mr Nota have a clear focus of moving Engel forward to build the company back to the levels of past years pre recession or will Engel consolidate and emerge as a much smaller player in the international property market 5 In your opinion, where do you see Engel this time next year, do you think the share price will remain at this level or will we expect to see a sustained rise 6 How will Engel fund the payment of outstanding loans due 7 Why does the Company not update the website and perhaps have a section where investors can e mail the company and pose their questions to you. Mr Hibel I, like my colleagues, would appreciate candid answers to these questions and now that we have opened our discussion channel would hope that we can carry on discussing the future of Engel for many years to come. I wish you a good day sir and look forward to your reply With kind regards
