July 29 (Renewables Now) - German energy storage specialist VoltStorage GmbH has raised EUR 24 million (USD 24.29m) in Series C financing from US company Cummins Inc (NYSE:CMI) to fund the development of new redox flow battery storage systems and the company's growth.
Created in 2016, the Munich-based business develops and produces stationary flow batteries based on the vanadium redox flow technology for commercial and agricultural businesses. VoltStorage considers the technology an alternative to lithium-ion batteries as it does not require the use of rare materials, is fully recyclable and has high operational reliability and durability.
The company is also working on the development of the iron salt technology which is meant to enable long-duration energy storage and help wind and solar farms ensure base load capability.
The fresh funds from the investment will be used to develop larger-scale redox flow storage systems for commercial and agricultural enterprises and to advance the development of the iron salt technology towards commercialisation.
Well, one parameter is up 547%...

OK - misread the G for a M, but due to the ongoing delays and continually differing numbers with this project I'll believe it when I see it .
"...cumulative installed capacity of 30GW will be achieved in 2025..." !!
What happened to "World’s largest battery storage system" - 200Mw/800Mwh by 2020?
Not long for the Mustang prospectus - unless it is further extended (if that could that happen?)

Ambri, a provider of energy storage, has won an order from Earth & Wire, a renewable energy retail brand in South Africa, to supply Ambri’s Liquid Metal battery system to serve a 300-MW, 1,200-MWh combined wind- and solar-powered generation site in the Eastern Cape.
Ambri will begin shipping batteries for this project in 2024 with installation completed in 2026.
@Floyd81
100% of VRFB-H = 50% of EHL hence the lesser overall figure. There is no sub company involved with Garnet/Alberta so 40%/10% is their overall holding (if not who holds the missing 25%?)
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Garnet, with 50%, the largest single shareholder of Enerox Holdings Ltd?

Is it known if this project was delivered on time?

Growth Projects
Feasibility and pre-feasibility studies at Vametco and Vanchem were completed to determine the nature and scope of growth beyond the current production capacity plus the capacity of Kiln 3 of 5,000 - 5,400 mtV. ... It must be emphasised that the new growth plans to expand beyond the capacity of 5,000 - 5,400 mtV will only be pursued when full funding has been secured. An announcement will be made in the near future, on completion of the review and approval process.
My reading of the RNS was that kiln 1 would be defunct once kiln 3 was online.
Do you have a link to the repair and maintenance information?
Topaz was planned before Pearl.
So kiln 3 becomes kiln 2 once commissioned?
