This is one for 2014. Yes, it had a spike and placing a couple of weeks back but this has massive potential and has Rio Tinto working along side them and will fund the project if they sample more than 10 tonnes of earth. Karelian's exploration programme in Finland is based on the existence in Finland of similar geology to that in the Russian sector of the Karelian Craton in which two world class diamond discoveries have been made - Lomonosov and the Grib Diamond Pipe. The Lomonosov mine has estimated reserves of 220 million carats of diamonds, one of the largest in the world. The Grib diamond mine has estimated reserves of 98.5 million carats of diamonds
not rolling in it but nicely in profit shall we say. What next now??

For half of the Blockleys works, which is going strong. Hanson are reopening the mothballed Claughton Manor works this month due to the upturn and Michelmersh were rumoured to be looking at buying the old Hanson Accrington site. Probably wont happen.
All the major brick manufacturers in the UK now have waiting times of around 4 months on many brick products. Order books filled well into next year. They cannot make them fast enough.

Friday: Meanwhile, leather supplier Pittards (LON:PTD) jumped 22% as it rejected an offer for the company. It said that the price, while a premium to the current share price, “significantly undervalued the business and its current and future prospects 27.08: We are now looking into carrying out a share consolidation of the c 463million shares in issue in order to make payment of dividends more practically achievable. We intend to complete this before the current year end with a view to paying a dividend within the next twelve months if the recovery continues and in the absence of unforeseen circumstances. Things are looking very good!
