Karelian Diamonds KDR22 Dec 2013 08:56
This is one for 2014. Yes, it had a spike and placing a couple of weeks back but this has massive potential and has Rio Tinto working along side them and will fund the project if they sample more than 10 tonnes of earth.
Karelian's exploration programme in Finland is based on the existence in Finland of similar geology to that in the Russian sector of the Karelian Craton in which two world class diamond discoveries have been made - Lomonosov and the Grib Diamond Pipe.
The Lomonosov mine has estimated reserves of 220 million carats of diamonds, one of the largest in the world. The Grib diamond mine has estimated reserves of 98.5 million carats of diamonds
