They were talking about removing it in the next tax year, so check its not zero.
I was looking at other shares today, but Rolls Royce still seem like the best ones for future growth even though we are already up, the torment is real.
That's clever Pott, Cheers.
Yes that seems right Rob, you can always double check at the end of the year with the tax people.
The Government wants tax on the profit, you are not taking out your initial investment you are drawing out shares that have made profit/loss, unless its in an ISA or you are under your earning threshold for that year.
Are you sure Rob?, unless its in an ISA (then none of it is taxed), I would assume you will be liable for tax if you are over your threshold for that year.
If your initial investment was £10000 you ended up with £20000, then £10,000 is taxable minus anything you have left in your earning threshold for that year.
Correct me if I am wrong please.
regal, i have thought about the terrorist threats and nuclear, on the negative side you are correct with terrorist threats, but countries like ****stan and qatar already have nuclear sites, the countries in 'bad areas' that want to join the modern world maybe forced to clean up their countries or risk destroying their own land if something bad happened.
so there are 2 ways to look at it.
Regal you're welcome to come back and gloat when the smr contracts get announced.
You never fight share price movements, price is king, 2024 is looking good financially and personally I am hoping for smr news to take us beyond 2024.
Regal, watch and learn, put some oil on that Moustache its looking shabby.
12 Months livepari4, but I think Nettles price prediction is more realistic, it just says they are 'polled' analysts, it does not give their poll ratings (eg 5 Stars out of 5 Stars), anyone on this board could be an analyst.
Cev, very well put, anything I could add to that would spoil your beautiful words, lol
Ok yeah, % of voting rights attached to shares has gone from 5.12% to 4.92%, you would of thought that would affect the share price?? Perhaps other institutions have picked up the slack??
It seems as institutions buy stocks they have to declare what voting rights they have in a company, on the 8th December BlackRock crossed this threshold it seems they own about 5%, it is likely they will keep buying...............

Nump, they can tarriff the cars, but that will only hurt Germany, we buy their cars in mass, if a honda, toyota, hyundia, nissan, kia becomes the better option for the masses then that's what they will buy, people seem to really rate the new Kia cars, if you want something up market you can just get a Lexus.
