But in 2023 I can draw a couple of work pensions ( 55 )

I come to believing the only chance of ever seeing my chunky buy of 63p

We need to buy back all 68 Billion shares via back backs over the next 10 years :-)

Later on today BT with break through 165p IMHO

then we see 167p as quick as we can say '' how's your father ''

We really need to start hoovering up these shares while we still below 50p

Reality is Lloyds Banking Group shares are favourite traders share

I was only was speaking to an Lloyds employee and she takes partakes in the Lloyds staff share save and holds a number of shares , she jokingly said her retired Dad days trades Lloyds Shares all the time.

Personally I am happy here , the dividend pays my way in life and makes life easy for me.

After the election in December 2019, I bought a chunk at around all costs in 63p never in a million years , thought dreamt I will here in August 2022 sitting on 40% paper loses from this original buy.

How much patience does one need

I really have no opinion but sorry to hear you lost money, if it makes you feel better regarding Afren. when I worked in the city my Banks oil and gas unit was part of the syndicate loan and wrote off about 25 million dollars back in the day.

I say Stick to solid UK based ( boring to some ) dividend paying stocks , OK you never come a millionaire but you can live a happy and comfortable life

I remember in 2013\14\15

When Lloyd's Banking Group was in the 80s

Then we had no dividend, HMG had 40% shareholding,. Market cap around 50 billion and bundles of more shares floating around and paying out billions annually on PPI rewards

Honestly so glad I am increasing my holding here year on year in my dividend reinvestment plan I manage

I am here long term while sitting back enjoying life
