There still seems to be a pulse here at MXO.. I’ve some friends who are hurting bad here. Hope for everyone sake this total waste of time CEO gets SP moving. Will probably move if he does the right thing and sells AJE ASAP!..
Cost cutting was supposed to be going on over the past year, so no new news there. Now a Technical Advisory Committee. Seems we may now be having a secondary BoD., known as the TACO team :-) More news coming earlier in the new year.. So far not impressed.
yn1000.. I think I could have written your last post! It’s so true. Got to remember these AIM listers are small companies with ‘wanna be’ CEO’s. Some are good, some are very good, some can be exceptional, but unfortunately most CEO’s are bad. Let’s hope Mayan get themselves sorted out..
The review that’s been completed should not only see what assets to prioritise, but where to put what funds we have left. Perhaps we may hear more in that too! SH’rs and Mayans bank account need to know how quickly we can start producing and start earning some dollars, AND damn quick imo. My only concern is this review may just be letting us know where we are and just make the ‘best of a bad job’. Given all the shinnanigans, we can’t really trust CW & EG on they’re historical decisions, judgements on our own assets. At least this independent review should clarify this. I’m not expecting the SP to move dramatically on our next RNS, All I want from this, is clarification on where Mayan are going and that we are in the process of seeking a new CEO.. imo..
Yes, agree with you colin, karma may come, but doesn’t change the fact that shareholders are still continuing to pay the price. Shouldn’t be long now though for some conclusive updates, both on upcoming production and CW’s position..
Cheers LVL.., I haven’t had loads of chats with Eddie, but I have had quite a few. Unbelievable how events with him panned out given what he said to me. These CEO’s just tell you what you want to hear. And I noticed they only chat with you when all is not well too.. RNS’s alone should have been all the chat required. Live and learn.
Yes was being sarcastic Stalin.. The current board members already had a grip on our assets pre reviewing this review, therefore shouldn’t take weeks as stated. Board has said ‘coming weeks’, Seems to me they are using this review as a welcomed delay and try catch up. Nevertheless, I’m still confident we will eventually get the BoD sorted out.. No one has any idea when though.
LVL.. Many others like you around with similar thoughts. Nevertheless, Eddie has left Mayan with some real good assets. All I’m waiting on now is for an announcement that Charlie Deadwood is actually leaving, albeit with his pockets full of dirty cash. I’m also waiting on another announcement of a new CEO and who just may bring with him an effective team. IMO atm we’re sitting in limbo land. Wouldn’t surprise me now if we had an RNS stating more delays due to the weather..
Is down -13% atm.. Seem to be struggling until their new listing.. I also think one of Mayan’s problem was Eddie singing ‘airs & graces’ and ramping how good Petroteq was. Week after week it was OQE this that and the other!., how they will become a billion dollar Co, etc.,blah blah.. Investors moved money out of Mayan over to PQE damaging our SP. I know many who done this. Could well be some now moving back from PQE to MYN.. Investors will start to see Mayan on the move, albeit only over the past few days, but a bounce and a rerate is now overdue.. However, sentiment won’t come until solid updates arrive. Only then will I buy more..
Mayan still need to bring all of our assets together,. Just a bit all over the place atm. Yesterday’s +18% was a good rise, but means nothing without a sustained rerate..
I notice a few in the twitter group is becoming impatient for news. Certainly hope we won’t wait much longer now..
I think it’s a fair comment drillingcrew has made re BoD timescale for reviewing the review. It seems the BoD won’t be pressured into supplying further updates until they, themselves deem necessary. There never has been any urgency from Mayan. Infact, correct me if I’m wrong, but they have never met any deadline, ever. The current BoD only use urgency when a placing/ finances have to be raised. They are quick on that score! Mayan is AIM listed and only listed for them to raise money. End off. CHANGE has to happen and when a new CEO is appointed, then we all need to inform him/her of how important it is for shareholders and how our interests should become paramount, along with the company of course. Can this happen? IMO Seems a long way off to me.. Can only hope..
It’s such a shame we had EG & CW, key players of our BoD do this. How different it would be to have Directors working relentlessly for the company and get these assets into production and to progress company fortunes,. then success would automatically filter through to us shareholders who have financially supported them. I have to relent and say Richy J was, or should I say is right in this instance. I’m just hoping CW does the right thing and steps down after his 3 months are up. How good it would be to get an honest CEO who would work for and with shareholders... yosser, if I were £16k down i’d be happy!! :-)
I’m sure CW knows the majority of shareholders views on him and also that both him and EG got rumbled.. The only reason the both of them continue to be free of the law and stay out of prison is that they were clever enough not to break the law. However, imo morally they are guilty and they both know it. It’s us shareholders that have paid the price, not them.. Very thick skinned is CW & EG and I do believe many more people surrounding them had a hand in and knew about the shinnanigans. I am bemused why some I know very well are still supporting CW too. Now that Mayan have, to start with, a new Chairman, Paolo Amoruso and a new NED, Sarah Cope on board, along with this concluded review, then perhaps soon we will see some key decisions being made that may just reverse our downtrend..Hoping.. dyor
The RNS started with the appointment of Ms Sarah Cope as a NED.. I knew at that point the RNS was not what I wanted to read. The team shouldn’t need to have weeks to cover the review of they’re own company. So what have the team been doing themselves over the past 6 weeks? Words such as ‘near to medium term’ and ‘upcoming weeks’ mean they have no idea?! “The Board of Mayan now intends to review the findings of the report to determine a development strategy focused on the optimal opportunities for value generation in the near to medium term. The Company will provide an update to the market regarding this strategy in the upcoming weeks”
So we are now reviewing the review?
Goodshare post has disappeared?
Goodshare, I don’t think he’s keeping the review to himself. Yes, he probably knows 90% of it, but until it’s RNS’d, then it’s not complete. Nevertheless, you would have thought it would have been completed by now. Surely can’t be long now though..
Yes Ors, I don’t think Mayan can hold back on news for us this week. I’m not looking for fireworks, but just a nice sensible productive update.. CW knows he’s got so much to prove now, therefore chances of this review review are looking good. We’ll see..
Well Richie.. Fair comment, nobody knows how these assets are going to perform. We can only go by historical info and from RNS’s. This ‘review’ is being done to prioritise our assets, imo that means priority is going to be given to the best assets than can deliver first. If, as you say, ‘this mob’ or that you have stated you have ‘written off’ your investment in Mayan, then why are you hanging around on this board? Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a happy chappie’ here, but prepared to average down whilst it when I can, albeit a risk, but it’s my risk and imo I feel this will turn around, be it with CW (hopefully not) or some big oil’y guy?! We’ll all know soon enough.. Only my opinion.
