I’m surprised our SP is not moving up given the positive figs. we’ve already had from Austin. I hope the figs. from Zinc don’t get the same reaction... otherwise we will be talking up Petroteq..... just for a change!
It is still frustrating Mayan start producing and get the balance sheet into profit but the share price remains the same. It’s all good all this progress and the company becoming stronger, but shareholders need to benefit out of this too. That’s the reason we are all here. Isn’t it? Sorry guys, but atm my glass is half empty.. perhaps when we see some rise in the SP I will be more positive.
Ors.. Attis have all but taken over Mayan already? They even want the name change..
Yes Helpful, 57 bopd is improving, but it’s still not much. I was hoping we’d be nearer 80 bopd. Also, I agree Attis may be very successful in production now and for us in the future, but Mayan have had years and years to produce., from having Shoats to god knows what etc.. And now Attis come along and produce for us. Makes you wonder what Attis get out of Mayan in this deal. We can shout from rooftops how brilliant Attis is, but I won’t be happy until I see what matters to me personally and that is to see the SP rise and also see shareholders getting value. This deal will always look good for the company as they get funded... Let’s HOPE is not too a big a price to pay for us LT shareholders.
Yes Ors,. Big unexpected news. Difficult to get my head round this, but us, as shareholders better be okay as we have all been bummed for years here.. I’ve no idea how the market will react to this. CW keeping his job too for now..
It’s a good update and at long last shows progress. Not happy R Bensh is moving on though, given he’s also just put a fair chunk of cash into Rose Pet.. Also not too bothered about inside politics CW,. within Mayan BoD, as long as they continue to perform and the SP rises, then that’s all I care about for now. Good news for the company today and at a near break even point..
It’s only a good start. No balloons yet. A high % day on such a low SP doesn’t mean that much. We need it to rerate consistently.. 30-40% on say .30 different matter etc... Nevertheless, good to see a descent rise to end the week off.. GLA..
Tier.. Your glass seems to be half full.. My one atm seems half empty. Perhaps, and just a thought, but could it be the wells didn’t perform as we, they hoped?.. Then could they have moved on to one or two of the others wells’ in the hope of giving SH’rs a positive result and save face? As you may note, I trust this BoD.. :-)
Problem is drill,. Ducks seemed to have been lined up for such a long time. Infact, if the Company don’t get on with it, the ducks are probably going to die with old age as apposed to being knocked down! Be good to get a full operational update again though given the time period from the last. There must be more updates to come alongside Austin. Bearing in mind Attis are doing the work and if so, what else has been going on meanwhile? Certainly a slow burner here, but here’s hoping Petroteq come through soon and we benefit big time,. alongside some of our own wells producing.. GL p.s.. Am I wrong in thinking a while back Eddie G said we may get compensation from our good old Remediation Plant?! Mexico.. Perhaps another tax right off?..
Just had a look in here.. Been out of MXO for quite some time. Having been an insider here in the past and knowing SO,. Let’s just say quite well.. I think he seriously needs to step down and have a new, proper oil guy at the helm. New acquisition(s) are require and shareholders need to have regular updates. MYN just as bad. Kentan,. MXO have had numerous lifts of oil, but doesn’t seem to benefit shareholders in the way of the SP moving up.. It only strengthens MXO bank balance and enables them to pay bills.. and of course their salaries. I have a few good friends still in MXO around 4p, and from time to time I get asked how MXO are doing. Perhaps one day I will nudge them for a change and give them some good news.. However, ST MT, unless there are serious changes, then all will be left with the status quo here..
Northfolk.. The time will come when Mayan will deliver on the goods.. Most of these AIM listers eventually do,..well most! I remember being in MXO sitting in there with around £70-£80k Investment and had my head down in my hands thinking ‘will I ever get this money back?’ I gave up wanting a profit..., It took a few years, but I eventually sold out of MXO around 4p to 5.05p and recovered 95% of my investment. Tbh, I think there’s a fair journey to go with Mayan to get your 3p ave now. Imo, I can see 1.2p-1.5p by year end,. Assuming the company change and start to deliver.. For record, I have the equivalent of a fair size 3 bed Scunny’ terrace in Mayan and thankfully by averaging down I need .80 .90 to come near to break even. However, that has cost me dearly and atm still some sleepless nights!! They say only invest to invest in what you can afford to lose,. Doesn’t always play out that way.... Good luck and I hope I’m wrong..and the company do actually become very successful and hope most LT’rs get back what they invested,. and some!!
I think we will need a bit more than that Ben. It will be a good start, but really need good results on both. No doubt the update will add on Mayan’s next move.
Ditto mate.. Also thinking CW will be letting down all the new team members, inc TACO team. His days would surely be numbered then. So next RNS is a poignant one for CW..
All that sounds good Ors... but the new team haven’t proved themselves yet. I know they need time, but until SHrs see value, then it’s just words. Perhaps we will see this ‘New Mayan’ rise itself out of the flee bitten dogs arse we have been in for the past few years and start a slow but sustained recovery..who knows.. To do this we need a cracking team behind Mayan and atm it seems like these named individuals have a heck of a lot to sort out.. Soon see anyway..
Wrong board
Yes, thanks for your thoughts S... My main paranoia worry was wether Attis had actually started on the two work overs ;-) Mayan need to recoup a lot of trust from shareholders and if these 2 wells prove up’ somewhat, then that’s a start..
Thought I’d just add.. Shareholders we’re also pushed aside as the review of the review concluded.. That seemed to go on forever.. But hey ho, hopefully now with new team members on board, the Company will now move forward and be run on a more professional manner. I remember an expensive phone call I had with Randy when he told me, “the market has no confidence in me, that’s why I’m going” .. I also believe the market has no confidence in CW... On this particular issue,. Let’s wait and see.. Fingers crossed Attis have the rig on site as pre RNSd.. There should be NO excuses this time round, a RNS should land on shareholders next week.. Only my opinion..
RNS dated 5th October 2018.. “The Company is also pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Paolo G. Amoruso as Non-Executive Chairman with immediate effect. Mr Amoruso, a qualified lawyer, has extensive experience in the upstream US oil and gas sector having worked previously for Shell Oil Company” Qualified Lawyer? Experience with Shell etc?.. Then why is this guy not kicking CW into shape? Mr Amoruso with all his oil expertise should now be on top of all these historical problems.. Re Mr Paolo G Amoruso.. RNS dated 9th October 2018.. Update from the Chairman.. “I note recent speculation regarding the management of the Company” “As your new Chairman I'm committed to ensuring Mayan is a well governed and hopefully successful public company” “I'm working with Charlie Wood, who agreed to assume the position of CEO, and JD McGraw, the independent director, while we orchestrate this transition and build a new team and board over the next 3 months to develop our asset base” Also,...Mr Paolo Amoruso has also had 20 years in Corporate Governance... Nevertheless, 3 Months from October 18’ in my book takes this to 9th January 2019? Then RNS 29th November 2018 we have Ms Cope coming on board with her 20 years experience alongside her network of contacts? ....,,Not to mention the TACO team.. Technical Advisory Committee Team. Not sure what I’m trying to say here, only that Mayan seem to have a hell of a lot of experienced advisors / team members, but still, since October 2018.. NO production! IMO, I can only assume, internally the knives will be out for CW and I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s gone in the very NT. Meanwhile, we wait to see if they deliver on the first of the l o n g awaited 2 W/overs.. Have a good weekend all..... Stuy
Fair question lintott75,. Try look on it the other way,. Why would they state work to be starting on 1st March, if they had no intention? Ok, they said work to start In February and nothing came of that, but to announce that again would be beyond a joke really?.. Lets see..
yn1000... I do agree with you. There should be no if’s and but’s this time.. No bad weather.. Note the 21 days.. RNS 28/2.. “The work-over program, fluid testing, and new pump installation at Montsanko is expected to take approximately 21 days” CW won’t be doing himself any favours if he fails to deliver this time..
