Has anyone got any idea as to what is going on at Ruspetro (post de-listing) and whether there is any chance of getting any money back for shareholders?
contact JQWgroup@gmail.com if you still have shares and want any chance of recovering your investment. The management will not respond to you. Duncan Lewis unfortunately passed away last month.
If you feel strongly (like i do) that Cairn have not acted appropriately, then you need to look at the AIM website and complain to the relevant people. Nothing will change otherwise. This will keep on happening.
Selling frenzy feeding on itself as share price goes lower (stating the obvious i know) on NO news. Obviously no news is bad news to many BUT they have to be careful not to jump the gun like last time in my mind and not predict a date for approval from the AIC. Website has been up until today for testing by AIC i believe but i have no idea if their clients were able to sell product during this time. SO FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Bumylane My original title was only meant to provoke comment I believe that it is a real business but the technical factors and lack of any positive news keep pushing the share price down-and this price action makes people believe that it is not real (and i can understand that too). Therefore in my post i am not concerned about the 30 day shutdown (maybe a bit blase i know) because even if there is a loss of £5m/£10m/£15m... i just want to get back to a mkt cap which is fair and that to me is the value of cash and NO VALUE FOR THE BUSINESS as a starting point!!! Maybe that line of thinking is odd but as i said previously, any positive news/announcement should see us move back towards that level...of course we could have more negative announcements but i am finding it hard to believe that we are not due something positive soon (new broker, progressive dividend policy, the actual loss from the shutdown etc etc It is obviously still speculative but i am willing to have a more positive bias here.. Good luck
Hubster1-thank you for you frank and prompt views -i agree with the majority but would like to add the following (to hopefully aid understanding and discussion) I am primarily concerned about the share price and what can move it higher. I think the company has been caught in a negative/death spiral technically in that apart from private investors on these chat forums (waiting/hoping for positive developments/newsflow), there are no institutions/buyers for the stock to counter the continuous selling by the OMPs. I am of the belief that we are getting close if not at the point where they may be less keen to sell. The lock up expiry for the founders etc on the 9th dec is a worry but how much liquidity are they really going to be able to get given that most of us need to see some positive newsflow to become buyers-no institution is coming to join the party given the market cap. I am waffling here BUT the point i am trying to make is that apart from the company suffering irreparable financial and reputational damage from the suspension (not likely i am lead to believe) and not being a going concern by the end of the year, it cannot get much worse for the company from here. Not all the issues you highlight can/will be resolved at once, but my feeling is that if the company starts to rebuild it's relationship with the market (proper IR, new broker, progressive dividend policy etc etc...) there is a good chance that we can move higher to price in just a part of the cash on the balance sheet let alone any value for the business-a lot more needs to be done for the market to believe that this is a good business to invest in in my opinion. IMHO I think around these levels, it probably pays to take a small position BUT but not to watch it everyday ..and it is not for the faint hearted. My way of thinking suggests 50% potential downside (who knows really) vs 100%-150% upside. Good luck all...remember DYOR...my hair has gone grey (well the ones i haven't pulled out) trying to understand what the hell is going on here.
Hi all Have been reading all your comments over last few weeks re JQW Can i ask the following to all of you out there? Regardless of what the share price is apparently telling you, what do you need to see/happen to believe that there is an actual business out there AND that they have the £45m odd in the bank? Or is it a case of nothing can make you believe it is true because it is a chinese company listed on AIM and in your mind it is most likely a fraud? I am not going to bore any of you with my view for fear of being called a ramper/deramper! I merely am asking for everyones opinion in the hope that this may get back to management (in whatever way) and that change may be enacted. Thanks
1. Cash in the bank----no need to go over what has already been written about the amount and the clarification on interest payments. I spent 20 minutes going over this topic but more importantly making the point that investors have become very uncomfortable about whether this was real and how the cash can be accessed and by whom. I strongly believe (from having dealt with Chinese companies for the last 15 years) that the cash is there AND that it is not easy from an operational standpoint) for 1 person to take the money (if god forbid they tried to). 2. Dividend----i personally was very disappointed that they did not pay even a token dividend to keep the momentum going but they gave me the impression that they would review the dividend situation (regular and special) --so it is not a case of never again. You also have to remember that the special + regular was announced at the interims last year and was extreme (if you want to be bullish then you can average it out over 2014 and 2015 and then still feel good) so i am not discounting that they pay some kind of dividend at the interims (they have so much cash in the bank and generating free cash flow that i feel they have enough capacity) 3. Appointment of a broker is imminent---i think it can only help as the communication with investors (even private individuals) has been woeful--BUT also keep in mind that you should not expect the company to put out an RNS everytime a negative statement is made--this just adds fuel to the fire in my opinion.. 4. What is the business worth?---i am generally a conservative investor and would argue that you should put a multiple of say 5x on the earnings until they have got 3 years of audited accounts under their belt-i know this is very low BUT even with that you would get a share price of 5 x 8p +20p cash in Bank which gives me a target of 60p+. So the current share price IN MY MIND (DYOR) is madness and should at least trade to cash (if you believe that it is actually there which i do obviously) and then whatever multiple you want to put on the company. To me trading at 13p makes no sense--it should either be 0p (because you believe the business is not real and there is no cash in the bank) or at least 60p!!!!!! Good luck to you all (probably for the first and last time)
Hi everyone. I run a small fund and have been a fund manager for 20yrs+ (nb this does not make me any better at investing than any of you i would like to add). I have never posted on a chat board but have started reading this one the last 3 weeks as i am a very large shareholder in JQW and have been scratching my head as to why the share price fell to 6p+. I should also disclose that i have bought in the 70's and at various points up to the low single digits. I have not sold any shares over this time (obviously wrong/stupid etc etc not to have done so) as i have believed all the time that this share is worth at least the cash in the bank + whatever multiple you would like to put on the business. I am not a trader but an investor. Of course anything i write here may be construed as ramping the shares/my position but i would like to make some points about the company and clean up some of the alarmist statements that are made on this company. I feel that this may be useful because i actually met the company and a non-exec director after the results announcement yesterday and so feel that i have some insight...
