I can see it know. Virtual stage diving across the laptop display and head first into the tv's.
You're right but once joe public try this out they'll buy it. Online is great but sometimes you need to hold it and test it before you put the cash down.
Popped into Currys pc world on the way home to see if they had a headset on display. They have no plans to hold any in-store at present and the company only seems to be holding 200 in stock at the warehouse as far as the assistant could tell. According to the assistant they will definitely not be available for demonstration as there is a health and safety issue.
In know this site was playing up yesterday but I was pleasantly surprised this morning with a share price of 81.5p. It value the company at a billion. Coincidence or do they know something? Hahahaha
Can you imagine a virtual stadium with the animated characters from the Gorillaz, 2D and the like, with Damon Albarn doing live vocals in a studio at the same time. Pretty sure it could be done.
I've always believed that this has been sold and a price has been agreed to a point. But to who? Sony are looking to expand more into content, YouTube has recently announced a paid for premium service in the UK, Vevo has recently closed it's app and is concentrating on you tube solely. Vevo is owned by Warner, Sony, and Universal and we have moved into the same office as them. Somethings going on and I'm pretty certain I don't want to be out of this when it happens.
I've just read Vincent Baldinos LinkedIn page (sound engineer for Melody) and he mentions artists he's recorded for Melody including the Gorillaz. I think they'll be next out. New album out now and a tour to follow. They also have a track record of experimenting with VR. GLA and I mean all.
It appears that we may see if the resolution issue is with the Oculus GO as they are trialling a 5k 360 video. This is a software update and can be used on existing 360 videos. https://www.oculus.com/blog/june-platform-updates-5k-video-embedded-dash-panels-and-more/
Sorry forgot link..... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-44466046
Interesting article about live music concerts on BBC website. Empty stadium seats in an attempt to stop secondary ticket sites. I think smaller venues and a certain VR company might help. Any ideas....?
I'm holding off from buying a Go for a while so I hope there are some demos around the 26th in Curry's but thanks for the info.
Following a couple of negative reviews on Melody oculus app, Next VR (Not comparing to us) have improved their image quality quite significantly.. https://www.roadtovr.com/nextvr-debuts-new-high-resolution-video-format-nba-finals-highlights-reels/
I was looking at it myself on a bigger screen and the logo is very wrong. Its not two colours and everything they have posted is a shared link not a post.
Yep, it's gone. Interesting!
I've been looking at old tweets from melody and every artist that they have tweeted about in the last few years have now been released (thanks to Katherine Jenkins) bar one which is the Gorillaz. Knowing and following this band for many years they are known for pushing new technology etc. They have an album being released later this month and a tour to follow. Any thoughts?
I've been looking myself and it appears to be EVRH's acvount.
Sorry I don't have a facebook account. I had to use my wife's phone. I searched for Melodyvr and the second listing was melody with a subheading of software and a slightly different logo.
Melody appear to have two accounts on Facebook. One for 'product and services' and the one this was posted from 'software'. I guess you could be right, they maybe assisting in some way.
Also this posted on Venture beat...... Sony bought an additional 60% stake in EMI Music Publishing just this week and revealed its plans to focus on subscription revenue from online gaming and streaming music and video. It is not immediately apparent how a PSVR 2 would fit into that strategy.”
