I too was trapped in SVS and watched this share price go above 25p, and then all the way back down.

Although to be fair I dare say I would've cut and run on something near a triple bagger at 9p or so.

Quilver, just keen to know when I'll be offered the chance to "clear up" the ownership of a wodge of shares at a discount to the market....

Not that I'm not grateful that they sorted out the ownership of the bulk of those shares, although I note it was at a decent discount to the SP....

I'm not sure it was "gazumping", I personally see it more as gazundering. That is the refined technique of gently sawing off one of the legs whilst not being noticed by NC, having already sawn through the other leg completely.

This manoeuvre by SD is the only reason the two parties didn't manage to agree the 5% payment within a couple of months. The NC underlings doing the negotiations haven't yet got Sandeep to admit "it's a fair cop" that HAV is proven to be bigger. Asking for the "within 10%" to be slackened to within 20% was a way of him not losing so much face, but he still hasn't had the appetite for his slice of humble pie. He's probably hoping for some other non-HAV spectacular news that he can release to the market to distract from the £s he has to fork out for the 5%.

"Exit via Scallywag" is a nice idea, specially one that has links to the "Scallywag production faces".... Now that idea is an awful lot of drilling, a bit of science and a huge amount of luck away from becoming reality.

You made an excellent point earlier regarding the economics of drilling very deep targets from the surface, particularly when you know you will be 400m closer in a few months time. Hauling up 1,800m of drill string in order to retrieve the next section of core and then reassemble the entire 1,800m plus 10m core drill section to get the entire string back down to drill through the next section does slow drilling..... And you can see it on the satellite images. The drills on site are much more static than the early days of exploration.

Their exploration strategy when they reach the top of the ore body will be interesting. How much lower will they tunnel now so that they can have production running on levels above and have an exploration tunnel below?

There must be a few magic angles where they will get all the infill info for lower parts of the ore body and be able to continue into the south east deeps to prove it up further more effectively.

I'd like to get early answers to just how big HAV is for two reasons - pure curiosity and a desire to see a decent share price (otherwise known as greed).

Where do you think the second decline / any expansion on capacity is going to go so they can ramp up production?

I know nothing about mining.

Would they do an entirely new route, say to the west, to try and have an exit through less of the crumbly cover? Or is best (cheaper) to stick by the existing route for a second decline in parallel and share some infrastructure?

Poor initial ground conditions on the decline route may have been suspected but the extent not 100% appreciated. There was precise drilling in/around the decline entrance about 3 months before they published their plans, plus some along the proposed route sporadically before and I think that. I'll dig out a link for the sequence of radar images I put together to show what they were up to from HAD001 onwards. You see exactly when geology info for decline design was being gathered.

These cores (or it may have been RC drilling and getting bags of debris as they were only checking on the 400m cover) would have shown very good detail of geology at very specific locations. It would seem the reality when making the decline was a lot crumblier than hoped. So much so they modified the decline route part way through, probably after going back to look at the geology shown by the drilling in the vicinity of the proposed route to re-visit what was actually better at holding together long enough to reinforce a tunnel wall and ceiling.

Don't hold your breath for that link ....the weather is far too nice to be indoors on a computer.

Thank you for the pre-meeting venue review. I was planning to have my tea at the start of the gathering as I was likely to be coming straight from work..... after lockdown you never really know who has managed to keep the good chefs and when I was looking for a reasonable venue my reconnaissance visit was during a dash past on a busy morning of other things that had to be done.

You may recall 29% of our shares went AWOL after some dubious financial manoeuvres.....
It would appear existing investors have cut a deal to get 25% of them back .....leaving a much more tolerable 4% kicking around "somewhere".

Other than amusing corporate updates I still don't know why I am still in this share. Back into the dog drawer.....

Are there similarities with Panorama and Ernest Giles. Huge areas all showing promise - different target metals obviously. Which may lead to the incongruous situation of not knowing where to concentrate first? It may take a ludicrous number of surveys, samples and drills and associated patience to even scratch the surface of nailing down any understanding.

I'm beginning to think even more highly of HAD005 as time goes by. It has transpired to be the equivalent of an "X marks the spot" on the treasure map. All subsequent drilling in/around HAV has simply confirmed we found the jackpot (by 99% luck and 1% Callum Baxter science) very early on.

I doubt we can repeat the same luck again at Panorama or Ernest Giles. We may well have the advantages that a nice income stream from HAV gives us and be able to fund such speculative drilling in the name of exploration without borrowing or issuing more shares. A very pleasant position to be in....

Maybe I'm being harsh on the luck v CB ratio and the appliance of modern science narrows the odds..... but I can't help thinking it's going to require a vast amount of patience to watch GGP's next move on theses tenements.

In order to maintain the reputation of an entire nation (Scottish frugality), there will be no Grand National winnings making any kind of appearance at the Stirling GGP gathering on 5th May.

This is primarily because my selected horse usually pulls up at the first jump and starts nibbling on the greenery.....

The northern neighbours appeared to have had someone out on their eastern hole doing some sort of prep work on the last two daylight satellite images. Hopefully this is the drilling crew mobilising, one step closer to core reports.

Only bit of new activity on a clear blue sky day is more drill activity south of the dune.

We must be parked on existing pads drilling merrily everywhere else.

Having gotten my head round MMI a couple of years ago I now have more homework to do in order to understand what they are up to with Ultra Fine Fraction geochemistry ......

Sadly the PDF on the website doesn't even have a pretty picture to oggle, just reams of tables.

At least they are still planning a 2022 return with the drill bit. The lab delays are excruciatingly bad enough never mind wondering when they are going to be in the field with a rig
