Still waiting . All the best in whatever you decide Deep
Not yet deep. They must be making significant interest holding our money though!!!
I was in the same predicament when I first kicked off. I looked around the boards and did fall into the trap of investing on ramping and subsequently lost some cash. It was a hard but useful lesson. I still look around the boards and if it seems genuinely interesting to me, I then do a little more research using Company websites and Google. I also set up Google alerts on all Companys I am investing in or considering investing in and get a daily email with lots of relevant postings. I also get google alerts for relevant sectors, politics and geography. Finally, if you can cut through his ego, I found that the book The Naked Trader by Robbie Burns was very useful and both easy to read and understand. That led me to trying L2 (Quotestream from iii), to get a better understanding of the markets etc. I am no expert and just passing on tips I got from other people on these boards. Hope it helps and ggod luck.
And alll the big buys yesterday were on behalf of BSG. Its a done deal at 7.25 pence now that is for sure. There wont be any more offers now IMO. So this is one for the long hold if you want to make money from it I guess.
I was like you and bought into this on the hype a few months ago without properly researching. I must admit I got fed up of waiting so bailed out at a smallish loss so it taught me some lessons. Looks like it may get interesting now though. GL
Those buys will require an RNS by 1530hrs tomorrow afternoon so we should find out soon. I guess RTY the most boring share in the world for the last few months is just about to get interesting!
I sold recently but keep an eye on here just in case. I suppose it could be a rival buyer who with enough shares could scupper the current deal from BSG.
on here. Also another 2 big buys after it of another 21 odd million
Was it a buy or sale at 1629hrs?
The buy was for shares in another company TAPS. Not sure why the RNS sjows here other than as Chaz says the fact that they have a reportable interest in Rutley. They had a similar RNS last week as well. About time that Rutley started talking I think they have been eerily quiet.

The first closing of the Offer is at 3.00 p.m. (London time) on 17 July 2009. See RNS http://www.iii.co.uk/investment/detail?code=cotn:RTY.L&display=news&it=le
Thanks for that

Excuse me gatecrashing your board. I hold in GKP and it would appear that one of their MI's is offloading millions of shares. Chief Suspect at the moment is RAB. Anyone any info or can tell me what RAB current strategy is with such holdings? Thanks
Am a tad disappointed with the way this has and appears to be going. Will contact company direct in next couple of days but cards on the table for me is to take a loss and invest what is left in what I believe is a better option for me. GL to all staying and thanks for your advice and comments. Will chat again if I get the right responses and when I have better access to research.
I feel whatever happens. Away from home with limited Internet access so cant do all I would like. The RNS's issued today havent answered all my questions for all of the transactions on Friday and the buy back looks as poor as the BSG offer. Bear in mind that all relevant SP figures they will use are over the last 5 days where the highest SP has been 7p. c) the maximum price (exclusive of expenses) which may be paid for a Share shall be the higher of (i) an amount equal to 105 per cent of the average middle market value for a Share, taken from and calculated by reference to the London Stock Exchange's and the Channel Islands Stock Exchange's Daily Official List for the five business days immediately preceding the day on which a Share is purchased and (ii) the higher of the price of the last independent trade and highest current independent bid on the London Stock Exchange or the Channel Islands Stock Exchange when the purchase is carried out;
