I don't think they want it for themselves otherwise they would have made an offer to EML long ago. All this debacle has exposed Morocco as a bad investment destination for foreign capital.

5 years is one helluva long time to be holding an AIM listed stock. This is a binary playeither it'll tank or spike massively. But let me ask you, if the moroccans have such a good track record at paying out such claims why do they breach the law to begin with? Why wouldn't they just pay up before it goes to court? they must know their on the hook, just makes no sense. They will contest it to the bitter end. As for their credit rating, I doubt they even know what that really is.

JMUK26, I appreciate that thoughtful response you may be correct in your opinion only time will tell. In my opinion though the claim against the moroccan gov is approximately $1.2B and the market cap is prestly £30m which leaves a gap to fill of around £750m . This is of course if you really believe the moroccans will agree to paying out that much, I personally do not. Now assuming they do then it'll be well worth the 5 year wait and I could retire early. But let's face facts they have already acted in bad faith already which is why they're being taken to the courts. This would be one hell of a gamble for anyone buying in now. But good luck to you and all others brave enough to be invested now.

You won't make any money if it's paid out as a special dividend the sp will drop by that amount so the dividend will only bring you as much as the sp falls by. It's a raw deal. Well done if you bought under a penny.
