There's some news articles I've been sent over this morning regarding the Biden administration banning oil drilling in certain regions of Alaska.

Not sure if this has something to do with today's drop.

Yeah ..... I thought it would have to be a smaller chunk sell.

So with this firm....I've never been in a buy out position.....if a buy out occurred, are your shares auto sold at the price set by the buy out agreement?

Here's a question for you, and this isn't me getting a head of myself.....I've been thinking about it for a while.

Let's pretend you make a trade and then the next day its suddenly worth....I don't know...let's say 2 million pounds.

What would be the best way to sell out in this situation?

Would you do it in many smaller trades of lets say 50k or 100k at a time over a day or 2?

Would you sell out in a oner and is it even possible at that level to do that?

Would you have to contact your trading service provider and tell them what your planning and they would sort it out?

I'm just curious what people's thoughts are on this and if anyone has been in that situation yet as it's bugged me for a while.

Yeah.....that was me.

I wasn't happy about the way that trade played out.

I made 2 trades within 1 minute of each other.

One went through at 1.38 and the bigger one struggled to go through and took 10 minutes to execute and ended up going through at 1.64!

You want arguments, you should get yourselves over to the 88E boards ......Jesus.....some right lunatics over there battling it out.....been like a warzone for the 2 months.

This board is like a peaceful meadow in comparison......its great.

I think the price we are currently seeing is the now factored in consolidation and placing.

I think we just have to wade through all that now and see what they decide to do with these assets over the next few months.

Yeah I agree, there's other things a foot here, all very dodgy.

I think they are trying to be preemptive of a placing a bit further down the line and are essentially trying to skip over the news.

We'll see how the day plays out.

I have no idea why you are pandering to the dark clouds....they never get it right.

Aus figures mean nothing....they hardly ever barely move......they always sit and wait for the UK and US and then follow suit the next day.

All this is panning out exactly the same as the 1st test.....did ok leading up. Then the last week was just boring with some big drops.

The Friday before news dropped, absolutely nothing happened and the SP was just holding on.

Yeah.....cant see that reply because whoever you are, you deramp all the time so got binned.

Got a question for people:

Assuming we get good news early next week which I think we all assuming is going to be the case.

What do people think the next short term steps or events will be here?.......short term being...lets say ..the next 2 or 3 months.

Surely......for someone in the power that be to just randomly drop this 10% to allow some specific big buys to go through and then just bring it back up to where it was........is that legal?

I mean, I know nothing about that sort of thing, but surely that's very dodgy and reportable to be investigated?

This is exactly what happened jus prior to the 1st teat results.

There was a big drop a few days before.

I've notice on shares....when there's a high possibility of good news, there's always some excuse for the price to mysteriously drop a lot just prior to news for a day or 2.
