Hopefully SXSW will go well and increase the number of paying subscribers. We only need about 15,000 paying subscribers at £15 a month to plug the cash outflows. I personally can't wait for the AI integration and marketplace to see how that transforms the editors capabilities.

What are peoples thoughts on our partnership with EVS?

Having looked at EVS's full year results and assuming I'm correct that IPD-VIA create is part of EVS's Mediaception offering it looks like we (the shareholders) might be in for a pleasant surprise on 5th of March depending on the terms of BIRD and EVS's agreement.

Anyone else praying this is the last we see of the big seller?

@hyper-al .. Comcast was the organisation that the rights for live coverage of the Paris Olympics so my assumption is the organisation BIRD was partnered with would have been Comcast given the fact BIRD was involved in 80 live broadcasts. My assumption is that BIRD would have been unable to say who they had partnered with due to the legal implications surrounding elevate.io's launch in march.

Again only my speculation but given the size and companies under Comcast I can only imagine how having such a fast and team based editor would help them with their global media and tv empire. I personally believe that would be a better use than operating as a public SAAS business.

If i'm right then I believe Anne wouldn't be able to buy anymore shares due to her knowledge of what could be about to happen. Please correct me if i'm mistaken

Anyone else suspect the paid version will be launched on the 25th March 2025 at that tech event in Texas? But also that Bird will be either announcing a partnership or buyout by ComCast? That's my theory based around what's happened at the olympics etc..

I managed to figure out how to get the text overlapping the video and have had a response from BIRD/Elevate that they don't have plans to have hyperlinked text in video. Personally think that's something they should include to push themselves above adobe, the only reason I can see to use Elevate over adobe so far is that you can't work in live teams with adobe YET. As an investor and someone wanting to use Elevate this massively disappoints me but who knows what will happen in the future.

Just been playing around on Elevate for the first time and must say I am quite disappointed with what you're able to do, unless I've done something wrong my editor looks nothing like that which has been shown in the various podcasts. One of the things I'm looking to do is to be able to include text over the video itself which can then be hyperlinked like it appears you can do even on the free adobe video editor, doesn't look like that's an option with elevate as yet?

Curious what other peoples opinions of the current editor are also.

Having looked through past contract wins i'm starting to suspect the OEM partner that BIRD has been working with is NBC/Comcast, what are other peoples thoughts on the matter?

My suspicion is that Comcast might be the ones that Ian etc.. are hoping will buy bird when Elevate.io is finally monetised. with $6 billion cash on hand at the end of June 2024 it makes sense right?

Does anyone on here have any experience of EditShare? I used an AI chat bot earlier and found out about EditShare but would be great to know what it's like to use from anyone here who might have used it

I was trying to find earlier what markets you can trade blackbird shares through but didn't have much luck. My thoughts are they're either saving a bit of money, about £30,000 a year, and/or they're making it simpler for a potential acquisition in the new year. Not sure to be honest, times like this I wish I'd paid better attention at school.

That's all well and good but that's before the closed door testing that's going on as we speak. As far as I'm aware there's not been any leaks from that testing?

Presumably people want to see better financials before they want to invest? No normal person would invest in a company that's losing cash and is relying on a product that's not even released to market yet.

Exactly! It's just a matter of time now, they seem to be doing everything right, watching money and making deals that should highlight their product without massive marketing expenses. Here's hoping to a great 2024!
