CSD500 and MED 2002 combined sales24 Mar 2017 18:50
Having checked out the webinar it seemed to concentrate more on MED2002 and did not give much details of the potential sales for CSD500 and I couldn't locate one in the published RNS's
So some further investigation brought to light this web page http://www.strategyr.com/MarketResearch/Condoms_Market_Trends.asp which gives the worldwide sales figure of 8bl in 2020 and 7.3bl as of 2015 for condoms
Surprisingly, (or maybe not) the three major players for condom sales world wide are Ansell, Church and Dwight and Reckett Benckiser, of which Futura have granted licences to both Ansell and Church and Dwight for sales of CSD500. These are no small fry set ups, these are very big.
If using a very conservative figure of 3% of world wide condom sales capture for CSD500 this would equate to 219ml USD which would then equate to £175ml. With 120ml shares in issue the price per share is £1.45.
MED 2002
It we then do the same calcs for MED 2002 at a startup sales of just 3% (660ml =13%) then sales are 144mlUSD, the the additional sales will equate to £115m, adding sales worth £0.95
Share total = 0.095 + 1.45 = £2.40
The arithmetic can be done in any combination of % sales worldwide for condoms and the FUM figures for MED 2002 of 600mlUSD. It obviously does not include liabilities as they are ball park sales against share volume, but is gives a very attractive picture using a fraction of the peak sales quoted of roughly that of a quarter for MED. and global published figures of for condoms (a rising market!! :-)) I hope the arithmetic stacks up and am open to comment, but it all looks very good to me. Cheers
