I have read estimates of 80eh coming offline at current prices almost immediately, but it’s ofcourse speculation. If by March the Mara SP hasn’t improved or declined I have two options, sell for a loss (my average is $10 ish) and move into the safety of MSTR - or average down with everything I have and bet on the historical rhyming cycle.

Not true chopsticks, as weak miners fold and inefficient equipment is turned off the share of the pie increases for the strong. For some, curtains. For stronger others, a painful dust settling period where the balance sheet will need to sustain the company shorter term awaiting bitcoins typical rise.

You’re not wrong HC, I think Mara does a 20-25b mcap at peak fomo and the share count is going to be approx 250m by then I assume.

Retail forget. Mara is the king, when people see the state of peers they’ll find Marathon numbers irresistible. No other miner gets even close.

It’s a good deal in defensive terms, it’s something that if they don’t do and btc stays suppressed long term and Mara starts to struggle he’s worshipped for, he’d certainly be panned for “doing a Peter” and not managing risk.
