Cardinal3, lucky you sold last week, as they've gone down further today!

Was quite turbulent for investors and perhaps traumatising for some! Excellent overview here for those that might be interested, of what went on. It sort of sets the stage fir what the coming week will bring us.

Cardinal3, agree there are at least two different dynamics at play with investments, one is where the market is going and the second is what other ways we can best use those funds elsewhere in our lives. I would go along with your wives wisdom here and getting your daughter on the property market is a good decision, also from my perspective, so congratulation!

We have a few regulars on this forum, who declare they have 'sold a few lloyds', on a regular basis, just when the market is at its very peak and quite frankly they are not believable at all.

You also managed to distinguish yourself by revealing your sell price but did not claim to actually have sold at the very top of the market! You're close enought to the peak achieved last week and with all the policial and market uncertainty, who knows what is going to happen next with equities generally. I trust you banked a goood profit!

Nop 88, I just checked back and there is no reference to you having sold up on the 2nd. All you do is make reference to LTI selling his lloyds.

88, 20 posts today and 20 posts yesterday....

One is beginning to believe that you are constantly spinning a yarn on here.

88 had set sucessive price targets to sell at, the latest of which was 105p to 110p.

When lloyds did hit 110p on Monday, It was rather surpirising to see him posting about pub lunches and restaurants, as opposed to having reached the top end of his target price range and he had sold his remaining lloyds, like he said he was going to do...

Rather curious that he consistently posts on just about anything now, other than lloyds.

Troublesome, Irish bank shares down 5% also, so UK PM on thin ice wouldn't impact there.

I thought they stopped the cheap holidays on teletext years ago. I guess they're available on other platforms now.

Seems 88 is really pi55ed off he has to go to Mexico for 3 weeks.
