The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Chuggly, my concern currently is not the JV.
My concern is that if PREM go it alone on DFS, then IMO we will never get to knowing whats in the ground as the DFS will never be delivered/completed. The man has form.
Talk of a JV is poppy**** unless the DFS gets done.
And what will the cost to shareholders to fund a DFS with a high possibility IMO of not being completed, or certainly not in a timely manner.
I see a fundraise coming and you can bet your bottom dollar it will be below the current sp. Again, the man has form.
The potential here is huge but IMO not worth very little if he does decide to go it alone. I suspect many would rather have 50% of something than 100% of nothing. The next RNS will hopefully help us see what is being planned and make more informed decisions.
As many have been saying for ages, including myself. The asset itself has great potential and that potential now includes the EPO obviously. We know that. We also know the next RNS will be critical for this company.
I became concerned when it was muted that PREM would go it alone after the EPO was awarded. According to some, at a cost of 5million. If we are going alone there is only one option, raise. Even though the Zim Govt owe us 20million or so(?) for RHA and are keen to be "open for business". Something doesn't add up.
So, we know he has form. He cannot get the funds from the Zim Govt. He cannot currently raise as there is no capacity so capacity has to be created. Consolidation IMO. EGM inbound. I have not been able to shake those concerns.
Yes, there have been offers, probably multiple offers, but they will be low ball. He comes with much risk for an investor/partner. Yes he has his hands on a potentially valuable asset but both parties in the negotiation know that something has to be done to realise that potential. Something that has escaped GR for years. Make it producing. Make it profitable. Both sides of the table will therefore think they are in the strongest position. Stalemate. GR goes alone with promises of future riches.
I may be wrong of course and will hold my hands up if that is the case. Just my musings at the end of a cup of tea.
Good luck all.
I suspect you may be right DazedandConfused.
I think my worst fears are going to be realised here:
EGM, Consolidation and then post consolidation dilution to fund the DFS with lots of stuff promised in the future as usual.
My head ruled my heart today and I sold a fair few. I will await the next RNS. If it's positive I will buy back in as soon as I can and admit to myself I got it wrong. Hey Ho.
As much as I want to, I cannot ignore his track record. My heart says with the EPO he will be/should be acting differently. My head says his MO hasn't changed and we will end up with a raise, somehow, to fund the DFS at .001 or thereabouts.
If I am right, I will buy back in lower. If I am wrong, I still have a good sized holding left in to benefit from and a good amount of funds to buy back in quickly if possible.
Good luck all.
It would say, there will be no EGM, no consolidation and I will not be issuing any more shares. The Zim Govt have given us what they owe for RHA and that will be used to fund the DFS. Company XYZ will be undertaking the DFS within 8 months. We will then JV with Company ABC to build the mine.
On a serious note, any EGM, consolidation or issue of shares, this will tank I suspect.
Acker, I will sell some at 3/4p and buy approx. 2% of a European co. assuming the timing is right. That will leave 10million to run until completion of the DFS. See where we are in 12-14 months on both.
Could be a good Christmas. No worries if it all goes south tbh but it would be slightly annoyed with myself, at least until I have made myself a cup of tea. A cup of tea fixes everything.
We should all be sat here, confident and relaxed that GR will do the right thing for shareholders in the coming days which will result in sp increases for the days, weeks and months ahead.
Why then do I have a nasty feeling this is going to turn sour? Hopefully GR will prove my fears to be unfounded.
Good luck all.
I hope so Wolf, I do not wish him or his family any ill will at all and I will cede he should get credit for Zulu and the EPO.
If he gets a good outcome for all great. I just wonder whether he has it in him to let this go, partially or fully. There will be emotions attached, naturally. I just hope his head rules his heart when agreeing whatever he is going to agree that will be in the content of the next RNS.
If he announces he is going it alone, even to DFS completion, this would not be viewed positively by the market IMO.
If he announces a JV of any description and/or an intention to let someone else deliver the DFS, then its game on.
After the DFS, it's anyone's guess quite frankly. No-one can predict what will happen here in 14 or so months, despite the eagerness of some to try and the, dare I say, fortunately timed, bloggers.
I will wait for 3/4p (old money), 0.0075p for those younger than I, and will raise a large glass of expensive red to him and his family if it gets there.
Good luck for the week ahead.
I will be delighted if you are right as will many others no doubt.
If this hits .0075p I will let 10 million ride for a few years. With what I sell I have my eye on 2% of a European based company with 20 bagger potential easy IMO.
Let's see. All the best.
Dazed, I fear you are correct.
For shareholders to get maximum value from Zulu, i.e. its sold or a JV partner is found, the DFS must be delivered. His track record is a matter of public record.
Hence my expectation is EGM, consolidation and raise.
Time will tell.
Steward1 - if there is a sniff of GR 'standing down', this becomes a real opportunity and we would see in excess of 1p in a flash.
As it stands, it's a great asset with little chance of production, let alone DFS IMO. No amount of comparisons, number crunching or "ooohh look how big our field is" matters IMO. It's simply noise.
Remember, the guy has form. Years and years and years and years and years and years and years of it. It simply cannot be overlooked.
