Fres have done well today so far- sometimes an SP can drop on the buying company and go up on the target company. It all depends on the nature of the deal of course. The downside is also based on the risks etc of the deal itself, including implementation.

Yes I bought in immediately at 13:30-13:40 on multiple trades and sold before the close for a nice profit, again on multiple trades.

Agree that gold and silver should do well based on the data at 13:30 but don't like to leave over the weekend.

Quarterly prod reports are key and Q3 and Q4 even more so as any miss feeds into the YE and later ones where cumulative issues have less time to catch up-

I think you need to remove the word limitation from the below alas

You can easily work out the avg silver and gold prices for the Q3 to give some idea and if you're really bored work and the daily ex-rates and %of elements of opex paid in peso, oil used and and so on to come with a ballpark based on what you estimate prod nos will be to help on decisions - as some one once said "only you can decide"

As for economic driving data- shutdown has made future releases greater impact as obvsmore in it!

The key thing here (beyond economic drivers) is that q3 now done without any dire rns coming out during this. So any prod miss won’t be massive- at prices were high during this period

It’s never the announcement and ALWAYS the ensuing commentary that dictates the moves

US payrolls a miss which is normally good here- fingers crossed

Headwinds for gold caused by cpi and ppi exceeding estimates which dampened FED cut expectations for September. To what extent only you can deduce

Geeeze- you really need to up your game! On fres, here. cey, hochs and (rrs, cey, srb etc etc before)/ i’ve consistently posted on data for many many years- why on earth you don’t look at what data is in and coming and understand its impact on stocks (and of course the same data impact is stock dependant) is beyond me!
