To be fair this works the other way around too. There has been vicious attacks by the LTH bulls on here against those of us that don't go around wearing "I love Matt Moulding" t-shirts.

It has been better recently since two of the main offenders don't seem to be posting as much. Made for a better atmosphere and we can learn from opposing viewpoints.

Agreed. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. 240 just before New Year is the one I kick myself on the most. Had a good profit showing at that level. Would have been a good exit.

But who could have seen such a dramatic drop coming from the New Year market open? Sure signs were around (Spacs, Crypto bubble, hot USA. market), but the drop in some sections of the market have been in the 80% plus range. Don't remember anyone predicting that at the time.

I am a bit more pessimistic about the recovery. I think it will take a while. The macro, especially in the UK looks dire at least into 2024. Recession is on the horizon. Energy prices only going up. Not looking good.

We also need more from the company. They have been very poor at communication and execution in the last year. That has to improve to bring back market confidence. That is what we need to see in September. Then it's all down to waiting for the macro to improve.

Not meaning to extract the urine here but....

And yet down and down and down it's gone.

Retail in general is taking a pounding. The shorts are destroying UK retail stocks. Just look at some of the other shares currently.
Boohoo, ASOS, Halfords, Ocado. All being wrecked right now.

Hard to see this pulling around until the macro improves

September cannot come fast enough.

Well let's be honest, the big funds etc know a lot more than we do. Small private investors are the last to know what is really going on inside the companies we invest in.

We are all hanging on till September hoping something to turn this SP around will be announced. But as we know, they have announced things before and never carried them out....
1) Beauty spin out
2) Main market listing
3) *Golden share removal

It really is put up or shut up time now or Moulding gets a reputation as a Bxxxxxxxxxr and the share will continue to flatline.

Another worry is the last 3 times earnings or trading updates have been announced this share has tanked. Could very well happen again.

Been thinking about this over the weekend.

Big problem for us was when the bear market bounce was ongoing we didn't participate in it. While other stocks had a small rally we continued to head downwards. Now it looks like the rally is stalling we will just continue to go down even further I fear.

Excellent. Used to go big in the days of acid house and techno. Has some banging nights out in the late 80s to mid 90s. Still love the music now.

I agree about the Jupiter situation. Thing is we just don't know if they are still selling or have finished after yesterday's big drop.

September is the key. Not so much the numbers, it is the guidance and strategy. Moulding needs to give is a fantastic strategy update that gets the market excited for future growth. But then actually carry it out. No good announcing a lot of initiatives but then doing nothing to bring them to reality (Beauty spin off, main market move, golden share removal, being cases in point)

Still think we will finish up but it's on the US open.

It's only early but so far, no sign of a recovery. I expected this to rise today after another very poor week but so far no buyers are interested. Are they waiting for it to fall further?

I actually think the algos will switch from short to long tomorrow and drive it up again to just under the 10 EMA.

They are playing both sides of the trade. Knocking it down when they short. Driving it up when they go long.

It's all a game to them.

Unfortunately it had the shape of this from the start of day.

Either a big fund is selling, or there is something happening in the shadows we don't know about yet.

Think it all depends on your average price.

I am in at 185 on one account. So unless I want to take a big hit I am kind of stuck. I don't want to average down right now until this shows signs of a recovery and the algo games stop.

Another account the average price is 94p. I am going to wait until September until results. The company needs to give some positive guidance and a strategy update. This could possibly move the sentiment IF, and it's a big IF, they actually follow through with what they say. They announced a lot last year and we are still waiting for them to do it.

I blame Goldy buying in yesterday. Kiss of death :)

Looks like most of retail bouncing back from yesterday's drop apart from THG ( Again) that is down nearly 4% again.

Yet it is still just bouncing off 70p so far.

Has to break at some point.
