Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Hi nthoftheriver, don't normally post but been here a few years. I have the same thought's as you will de risk at a similar time. I lost out in the Sirius Minerals saga and so will be a bit more careful here, this share looks like a very good opportunity to recover my losses from Sirius and some! Everybody on this board are getting very excited and rightly so. I'm guessing your from the North East? Lets look forward to the coming news flow because i believe it will be epic. I also retired in my early 50's so any rewards from here will be pocket money to spend! Regards SteveF
Hi guys don't post to often, interesting comments.
To me it sounds like Edenville are renting out the mine and plant and equipment to ILTL and will be paid commision on every tonne of coal produced and sold. That is why they will have a profitable operation from the first tonne of coal produced. Maybe they have to maintain the plant and equipment as well? but the loan agreement is slightly confusing as to why its needed.
Read my earlier post to get a better understanding of how much extra it could affect Boohoo.. it won’t be another £5 per item!
You have to laugh at some of these comments on this board! I agree with Smoke. Boohoo is set up to sell volume, I wonder how many garments are made per hr? So if there suppliers have to more than double there employees wages that £5 or so will be split between the number of items per hr. so if that’s was the case then Boohoo’s pricing may have go up by say 50p per item to keep same margin, so what. These young adults won’t be bothered about that. And that would be if all there suppliers had to increase there wage bill. Absolute bo***cks being talked on these boards, people just trying to scare people into selling with no logic at all. Yes, what’s been found out is not very good at all if proved correct, but what your seeing at the moment is typical social media and the press coming to a guilty verdict before the truth is fully known.
Look forward to the TR-1’s to confirm
Hi DPLSOLO
I've been looking for where it states that the directors cannot sell 50% of there shares until the MC reaches £50M and £100M. Can you please point me in the direction to where it states that. Many thanks
Hi guys don’t normally post been here for quite a few years! Just to let you know the 4 off trades this morning for £500 we’re all buys, just taking opportunity to average down. Hope this helps.
Regards Steve
Average price for thermal coal on open markek is between $100-$120 per tonne. Supply is tight around the world even in South Africa. So Rufus may be getting more than we think.
Duracell, if you’ve stopped paying into your SIPP apply for protection 2016(think that’s the latest one) it increases your lifetime allowance to £1.25 million. You can’t pay anymore in once you’ve done it. Also the lifetime allowance has increased by approx 3% this year so basic lifetime allowance is actually £1.03 million. I think it is planned to go up every year in line with inflation just like you state pension. Don’t forget to take into account your state pension as this will go against your personal allowances so after you’ve taken your 25% tax free amount out of your SIPP any further withdrawals will take you quicker than you think into paying additional tax.Hope this helps.
Hi Voltaire, yep everything goes up quicker in China, they throw bodies at it on low wages etc. In the UK it will take time to get equipment made, delivered, installed and commissioned. It will be worth it though I’m sure! I’m in here for at least the next 2-3 years, I may top slice on the way up. It’s been a tough ride for some of our trader friends over the last year or so but hey ho that’s their problem!! I can cope with the ups and downs cos I got in early enough. I look forward to all our successes in the next few years. Cheers
Hi guys don’t normally post on here just read the board every day, been in boo since approx 50p days. I think you all need to get real, do you honestly think they would get a fully automatic system up and running in a month or two!! That will take a year or two. This is obviously just the basic wharehouse like the Burnley site to get them up and running in Sheffield. Patience is required before the future plans for the Sheffield site are fully up and running.
Exactly PeasholmBod, Free on Board means just that. I used to wotk for a multi national chemical company and we delivered stuff around the world FOB all the time. Normally the end user picks up the tab. I thought the torps already signed were at around 125 dollors per tonne if my memory serves me right, so if we are transporting tens of thousands of tonnes at a time per ship the cost will be insignificant per tonne as thats what the end user will be looking at price delivered per tonne. If the shipment goes to a distributor they will foot the initial delivery cost and then add it on to the end users price. Its not rocket science! The poor sod at the end of the line always ends up paying the bill.
Hi Kspine, well first of all if that happens youll be one hell of a lucky sod, I hope it does and I hope Im close behind you!! As to your possible problem if youve already started to take some of your 1 million pounds and your pot increases to 3 million I dont think it matters, cos every time you take some money youll be taxed at the high rate 55% I think. This could be a big problem for a lot of us in the future if Sirius goes the way we all expect, that is if your investment is in your pension. Thats why the best thing is to move as much as poss over the next few years out of your SIPP if you are able to(got to be 55 years old with new pension freedoms) to get at your pension. The only problem is if you are still working it will be taxed as income at your nominal tax rate, 20,40 or45%. Better paying these than the 55%! Upshot is its a nice problem to have. Its definitely a good idea to pay for some sound financial advise to double check what Im saying, I did 12 months ago and it was money well spent, forward planning is important with these things and everyones situation will be different to mine. The obvious problem you would have though is loosing out with the selling of your shares then buying back in your ISA over a few years as the share price increases. Its a bit of a catch 22 situation. Hope this helps Regards Steve
No probs chesh, in fact both my wife and my ISAs are fully loaded! Just like to thank everybody else for the imformative posts on here. Cheers
Hi all, 1st post on this board been reading it for about two years now and invested here same amount of time. Just to add something to the life time allowance debate. If you are at that stage in life and i am and you have stopped contributing monies into your pension SIPP (etc) you can apply for protection 2016, and this allows you to increase your lifetime allowance by 25% to 1.25 m. I did this in the last tax year when i took a cash equivalent transfer value from my Final Salary pension. The allowance also goes up each year with inflation same as state pension. I also took the largest tax free lump sum I could and transfered some of my Sirius investment into my ISA(best thing to do) Also as i understand it if you goe over the lifetime allowance and you make a withdrawal from your pension you pay tax on full amount at 55% i think. So best keeping below it for sure. Its looking really good here with Sirius at the monent nice rise over the last few weeks!! Hope it helps Steve
