Can I just add to this thread, in my HL account the return of capital is seen in my Transaction history as a return of capital. so not where you would normally see your dividends paid.
Also, if I look on my SIPP Income Drawdown account it shows that I still have the same amount of Shares as before but, that the shares now cost me £9640 instead of the original figure of approx £10000. So in effect my price per share has reduced by the same amount as the divi! I have never seen this before.
So, in theory if I hold these shares for many years and Glencore continue to do this the same shares would have cost me a lot less money to purchase. That's if I'm correct, a win win situation.
Same here Christofer, also the same with any Income from my funds & bonds in my SIPP. H L always been on the money with payment.
The afternoon Update will be to tie in with Canadian hours of business so could be very interesting not sure they have done that before?
Billyboy, yep probably right there I had finished work (53) and retired for about 2 years when I did mine.
Its actually called fixed protection 2016 and as lse 1111 says protects upto £1.25 million from higher tax rate (55%?) You also have to have applied for this before you start to take money out of your pension, I did this about 4 years ago. hope this helps.
Think you might be right there ihowells>
I'm also a bit surprised at the placing price. they must be burning through cash quickly and with the financing taking longer than expected need some funds so the institutions are making them squirm! Did not think around 18% reduction would be needed at all, anyway hopefully that will be all they need. Can't see the share price not dropping tomorrow. I suspect one or two of our large private holders will be thinking about this low placing price with surprise.
friendly!
Its a cleaner coke so not as bad! to be used in UK Steel manufacture. Whats the alternative ship it half way round the world from third world country's? I know which sounds more environmentally to me.
Thank you Luke, great read
Jinkar, thanks for posting the presentation very interesting update.
No it can't be its dated 7th October!
Can someone explain about the deferred shares 153 Billion!! unless I'm mistaken
They have no voting rights and looks like no value.
Whats the point of theses?
Thanks
Steve
@Acountant, yep you could be right there, thats why I wasn't sure if it was correct!!
No probs here just waiting patiently.
There is a date on the write up, its on the price graph dated today 291020.
Not sure if its correct though.
DM83, you are quite correct very few companies nowadays make there own tooling they outsource to 3rd parties. there are specialist companies who make this kind of stuff, once you have a CAD drawing of the design that info can be put into a CNC machine and the machine starts to cut the die (tool). Tools with multiple impressions can be cut easily sometimes 10's maybe even 100's depending on the type and size of plastic injection moulding machine that is to be used. Plastic injection moulding is used in many industries, automotive, toy etc. As to cost you can pay many millions of pounds for multigang tooling dependant on design and size of component. Once machined the tooling will need to be finished of usually by hand. Hope this helps everyone with the guesswork on this board. Cheers.
If his gets to 1.3p I’ll be a happy bunny. Took the opportunity to average down over the last year or so. We have this stock in 3 accounts averages 0.11p , 0.18p Andy 0.24p. Good luck all.
Blumin eck, that word Sirius certainly woke a few people up!! It was a risky venture but the rewards were also there.
It could have so easily gone the other way and we all would have been laughing, buts that's investing.
I'm out of the metals industry and worked for global suppliers to the automotive industry for many years, so I certainly know what is potentially going to happen here. once that EV ship left port there was no stopping it, and it will slowly gather speed and for all involved in Horizonte the rewards will come. But I will prudently cover my backside at some point. Good luck all
Lets hope so my average is 7.9p, so just in profit . I think the news flow will be positive here.
Thanks for the chart info.
We are all of the same mind, its always good to be careful, from my point not quite sure when the right time will be at the moment! good luck to you both.
