i was waiting for the update on tuesday before buying in here but saw some big buys go through around 11-30 this morning so took the plunge.

hmm not good when you lose a ceo in such a short time must have been a big row somewhere here. but i have to say i was not impressed with his performance in that investors interview that he did earlier in the year.
as i said at the time it was like watching paint dry.
the recent selling also shows that this announcement had been anticipated by those in the know.
with inflation rising and current govt policy of increasing labour costs and no immigration policy what soever i can only see more and more businesses coming under deep financial stress leading to increased demand for begbies services .
and yet here we are with the share price under pressure again makes no sense to me ???

wood groups half year results are out today all a bit of a mess imo.
i believe that is where we got hugh pelham from and was wondering if carrs will be targeting some of wg customers as hugh will have intricate knowledge of there operations and contracts and weaknesses .
can't really see any other reason for his appointment unless carrs is targeting expansion in the engineering part of the business .
great company i added during the dips at the end of april at 2.85 and will do so again if the opportunity rises again. the company is adapting to the new world of AI and EV which will keep them at the forefront of the insurance market for years to come.
great income stock and greatly undervalued by the market imho.
sipps thankyou for that i will look out for confirmation it just took me by surprise after reading the results which i read as very positive. am looking to hold long term for growing divi and capital growth.
nice to see i am not the only one here although most of my stocks have very quite bb.
a bit surprised at the markets reaction to the results as they seem very solid to me and with the
US markets doing very well and also the divi restored.
this is a very quite bb but am interested in others opinions of this company.
