I would never knock the wearing quality of SHOE's products. Three years ago it was my day off, I was out in the country away from home, and of course I was wearing brown shoes. I was called into work, an emergency, get there ASAP. Emergency or no, it wouldn't have done to have gone into work wearing brown shoes ("no brown in town and in the country, not after six."), the most convenient footware establishment was a Shoezone with ample parking, so in I went. I thought I would just use those black shoes for a day and then put them into the reserves, but they are comfortable and non-sweaty and I have worn them to work ever since, and they have hardly shown any wear. In the nearby city there are large families where the shoes just get passed down when they are grown out of, so they only need a pair every six months. And some adult males there, if they see signs of wear coming, just extend their stride to put off replacement day.
