Just listened again to vox markets interview 17/4/21. Paul stated timescale of 2-4 weeks for cv and CE approval, in his early question on LFT delivery.
AS much quoted response did not correct him but stated “around the year end”
The 4 weeks take us to the 17 April - ie. up to next Friday.
Big week coming up.
GLA and have a great weekend.
Could this be the diagnostic disposable testing device- Carclo have been refering to ?
It all links up nicely with mologic's February announced agreement with Avacta.
Also with Carclo having facilities in the USA, could have been a helpful factor in Mologic being accepted onto the RADx programme.

Pennyfortheguy, it certainly looks like complex tooling would be required.
This fits in with my post from yesterday (added to by space Tom) , Carclo's previous statements of their involvement with complex medical diagnostic disposable test devices, and their rumoured link with Avacta.
"Just had a walk round the Carclo technical plastics (CAR) production facility in Mitcham, Surrey. Easter bank holiday weekend and they have a sizeable team burning the midnight oil!
"Hopefully, as has been strongly rumoured, they are manufacturing the plastic parts for the Avacta sovereign lfd.
"24 hour shifts - 7 days / week, that's a massive order for Avacta, either directly or indirectly."
https://www.thebusinessdesk.com/yorkshire/news/2067860-city-briefs-carclo-avacta-and-600-group (23 December 2020):
"Wakefield-based manufacturer, Carclo Group which provides of value-adding engineered solutions for the medical, optical, electronics and aerospace industries has signed a new framework agreement with a major global OEM that is expected to deliver incremental annual revenues of between £10m and £15m for the contracts life once full production is reached in FY 22.
"The agreement will see the firm’s Carclo Technical Plastics (CTP) division the manufacture complex medical diagnostic disposable devices. The production contracts for a range of products over the next ten years from a number of its facilities."
Yep
Don't think it will be the RNS re testing lfd/CE/iso tomorrow but maybe one shedding more light on the share dealings from last week.

This news today, due to the massive quantities involved will be great news for the whole UK diagnostic industry, it's just too big for one company.
This includes Omega, Abingdon, BBI, Mologic, GAD, Avacta, Aptamer gp, Surescreen also ancillary companies like Carclo supplying the plastic components ect
Omega in particular is set fair to reap the rewards of their much expanded capacity which ever test is approved/ ordered.
looking forward to a great couple of weeks.
GLA
I posted this on the Avacta BB earlier but also is positive info for Carclo.
Looks promising for the year-end and for next year, as the board have been saying for the last 6 months.

Long positions in Avacta have just moved from 95% to 98%, on spreadex.
Looking good.
May this large share transaction just be the start of a bid building process??
Only a thought....1/4/21

GAD have been awarded £1,15 billion to manufacture lateral flow tests for Covid-19.
Plus the previous award to Omega.
Carclo will be busy with their new unit, supporting these providers.

It is all fitting into place.

My current development project is a SARS-COV-2 (Covid-19) nasal swab lateral flow rapid test device for detection of S1 protein on behalf of Avacta.
This is just massive.
Should be good for Avacta and all the UK companies that are involved in the manufacturing and delivery. (Avacta, BBI, Mologic, Abingdon, also possibly Omega & Carclo)
Could be a massive UK team effort.
Just a flavour of what CTP are doing world wide during the COVID crisis. These are links to news feed just from the Latrobe factory in USA. All makes good background reading...

Still not forgetting BBI who still have a big part in the test development & TT.

I could imagine that there would be a number of potential items for Carclo to manufacture for each individual test:
1. Swab stick
2. Swab stick containment tube with resealable lid. (each sterile swab has an individual containment tube with recappable lid, providing the ability to store the swab for quality review).
3. Lateral flow strip casing itself.
4. Any mixing fluids container
Can anyone think of further items they will be potentially involved with for each test?
....5 new machines, working 24/7
Due to the potential volume of these tests required just in uk (say 1.5billion) it is hard to comprehend how large Carclo’s involvement could be within this project.
Think we may see an uplift in the next week.

£8 Billion tender for DHSC.
CAR's "massive" project discussed a couple of days ago - is this what it is?
If Carclo is part of this, it has the potential of being transformative for the fortunes of the company and its share price.
5 new Engel injection moulding up to 450t + automation + pick & place robots + 6 axis robots...
Impressive bit of kit.
Does anyone have any idea of the costs for these top of the range items?
Not 1 but 5!!!

Just seen the advert for urgert positions within Carclo CAR - I posted on their bb. It includes the following regarding new production cells for disposable tests..
I have been convinced for sometime now that they are connected to AVCT in some form and our soon to be released test.... (+ 4 of their directors have recently bought)
AS referred to manufacturing logistics being part of the issue in the latest RNS, so maybe linked?
I just googled Carclo jobs and it came up.
Thoughts anyone?
