Rainbow Rare Earths Phalaborwa project shaping up to be one of the lowest cost producers globally. Watch the video here.
Hi UP
I'm somewhat confused so perhaps you can help.
Can I start by saying that I have no problem with anyone, no matter their investing style: everyone is here to make some money after all.
But, from what I can recall, you've never had a positive word to say about Falcon. Plenty of commentary about other stocks though. And you've pretty much sold now so well done.
What I don't get is why you would retain 50,000 shares to recoup your losses.
Surely this means you think the share price will rise? And, if you think you will recoup your losses with 50,000 shares, then why have you sold the rest?
Like a lot of things, this makes no sense to me .
Best of luck with the 500 baggers, I really do wish you well
I will say in advance that this is a pointless post but I've had a wee drink so please excuse me.
There's been quite a bit of criticism of Origin for some time here and in my view it's unfounded. If it hadn't been for Origin getting in quick with a notice of discovery at Amungee before the moratorium then god knows where we'd be now. That well has formed / changed Gov't opinion over the potential for decades of production in the Beetaloo Basin. It's the sole reason that shale gas now has the support of government and why they are now prepared to commit financially to it's development.
I remain optimistic with regards Kyalla simply because there are people at the sharp end with vastly more technical knowledge than me who believe in it. They are not flogging a dead horse. They are there for a reason and, ultimately, it's to make money.
I probably fall into the category of 'naive' to some investors here and that maybe so. But, our current market cap (just my view), is already underpinned by Amungee so I believe the downside is negligable. If we sold our 22.5% tomorrow it would be for a lot more than our current market cap. There are plenty of players, both in Australian and from Asia, who would love a slice of the Beetaloo.
So, flare or not on this occasion, I do believe that ultimately this will come good.
I'm kind of hoping that it will be this year as we've all waited far too long. But hey, at least the kids can have fun with it if not.
Best regards to all the long-termers especially. I appreciate your input and wish you all well
Hi T&T
In theory yes we could keep 100% of Scallywag. The issue for me is the time it would take to drill it out. Newcrest, with all of their resources have been drilling like the clappers for almost 2 years at Hav and we're still 2/3 years from mining it.
With Scallywag being potentially bigger you'd be looking at decades before any value is seen and there's also the cost of funding it.
JV is my preference, assuming results are positive (which I believe they will be).
Couldn't agree more SR.
BFS and positive news that Talaxis are arranging development funding will further reduce risk.
We still have rutile results to come and whatever might be next on other tenements
A very HNY
'Talaxis aims to become a global leader in technology metals project development, and to become the partner of choice for the tech metal industry supply chain partners.'
This is from the Talaxis website - no suggestion that they, or indeed Noble, are interested in taking us out. It's simply not what they do.
Plenty of potential suitors out there but Talaxis are not one of them in my view.
My preference would be not selling out to anyone unless the price is crazy - there's plenty to come here
I checked other articles on the site in case they were all dated 24/12 by default but no.
Nothing on the Newmont site so very curious how they've got hold of this before any official announcement.
Delighted if its true.
In the meantime, I'll continue with xmas things.
Best wishes, I hope you're all having an enjoyable time
Yes, very good news as it goes.
Although, from some of the comments recently, you could be forgiven for thinking conditions were akin to the Burmese jungle in the rainy season. Helicoptors and/or rubber matting required to wade, inch by inch, through a sea of mud and get our equipment on site over a period of weeks, if not months.
But no, they've done what they said they would. Now it's just a question of waiting (again).
Lets hope that this time we get the result our patience and belief undoubtedly deserve.
Seasons greetings to all long suffering and more recent holders. Lets hope for a great new year.
There is no way on earth that they're going to mine Scally alone.
Hav will be roughly 2 1/2 - 3 years of 24/7 drilling with up to nine rigs before we even get to PFS.
Currently, we can drill for roughly 8 months a year and have been using 1 or 2 rigs. That would be a massive and costly scale up, particularly if Scally turns out to be on the large side.
Assuming grades are good then JV would be my preference.
Well, quite a day of it so I thought I'd have a go myself.
GH leaving - slightly surprised it's so soon but everything else with Hav has been quick so why not as we progress. He's previously flagged it after all.
Not wearing a tie; unshaven; looks tired - ffs come on. They've been planning this for months and there doesn't always have to be a conspiracy theory.
Director: 'Gervaise love, would you mind looking a bit worn out for the cameras?'
Gervaise: 'Look, if you think it'll help sell the new guy, sure.'
Director: 'We're looking for 'haggard' Gervaise if you could try that? Ooh yes, lovely darling. That should get them speculating.'
'And Sean love, if you wouldn't mind - could you say Gervay when you refer to Gervaise just to stir things up a bit; they will bloody lap that up.'
Sean: 'Not a problem mate, by the way it's pronounced See - An.'
Director: 'Who cares? Gervaise is the victim here, right?'
Sean: 'Fair point, but if we could get the name right for future stuff I'd be delighted.'
Director: 'Are we ready guys? Aaaannd.......Action.'
Cue massive speculation over a well organised and timely handover.
Roll on Scally results, good bad or indifferent. May you all see signs and wonders over yuletide but sometimes, just sometimes, the answer is staring you right in face.
Best of luck all
Nice to see Blackrock above 5% on ASX tonight
18 months of drilling 24/7 - 9 rigs on the go and we've barely started.
Great result so far but those of you thinking we're going it alone on Scally with 1 DDR, 2 men & a tent need to think again. Definitely a JV if results there are good as these things take a monumental effort.
Very happy with the Maiden - it's all growth from here
looks like we've reduced our holding by about 1%
