I'm in the same boat spitfirerory - 100K shares at an average of 9p so I'm £7K down. I'm considering whether to bring my average down on the off-chance this somehow takes off like EUA or, whether I should just cut my losses and run. I had such high hopes for AMC :(
Ah, ok ggg21 - still don't understand but good to know the laws of economics haven't been broken :)
sorry, I meant, the price should go down, not up - typo in my analysis above! i.e. if there were more shares on the market it could be bought cheaper...
Can someone please explain why the share price went up when this trade was marked as a sell (as shown on the above link "EUA Share Trades") ?? I genuinely am not understanding this - I thought shares were all about supply and demand so, if 458,708 shares were sold, surely the price would go up not down? Or am I missing something here. Maybe I should just stick to funds :(
OK, thanks folks - that’s clarified things a bit. So what I’m picking up from this (and correct me if I’m wrong) is the following
1/ we are waiting on the DFS for WK and as its not the main resource its not going to add or remove a significant amount to or from the share price whatever the result. Hence we can expect the share price to hover around this price (but maybe plus or minus 10p based on MM games)
2/ The big gains will come if the company is sold for what is expected at MT but as the PFS is at an early stage there, it might be a while or, we may get a huge uplift based on the potential even without a DFS.
OK, so I think based on all that I’m comfortable waiting a little bit longer. But, thanks folks for the clarification on this. So good to get a balanced view devoid of all the emotional responses :)
The questions below are purely to assess for myself the risks or rewards of leaving in my EUA shares. This is NOT a de-ramp so I am not looking for abuse from the bullies and rampers on this board but rather, looking for someone who can genuinely and impartially answer the questions below for me.
Now a lot of the short term price of EUA seems to be pinned on the DFS which is the Detailed Feasibility Study (which I had to look up on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mining_feasibility_study).
This is the quote from Wikipedia
‘Detailed feasibility studies are the most detailed and will determine definitively whether to proceed with the project. A detailed feasibility study will be the basis for capital appropriation, and will provide the budget figures for the project. Detailed feasibility studies require a significant amount of formal engineering work, are accurate to within 10-15% and can cost between ½-1½% of the total estimated project cost.’
So my questions about the DFS are
1. What are EUA paying for this study or is that only known when the study is complete if it is 1/2 - 1% as stated above?
2. Is it possible that the feasibility study could indicate that it's not feasible to mine and in that case, how would the share price worth be calculated?
3. If we are waiting for a DFS, I’m assuming a Preliminary Feasibility study has been done and hence, do we know what (within 20%-30%) the value is? I know some of this has probably been answered before but its becoming increasingly difficult to separate the useful information from. the noise on this board so I'd appreciate it if we could reserve this thread for genuine helpful answers and not 'Green Coffin for You' and 'bot fly' type comments.
Thanks in advance
I actually wish Blackrock would clear off. I seem to remember them buying a huge amount if shares in AMC and then dumping them in huge quantities later pulling down the stock price. If thats their game here, I hope to goodness they get caught out in a short when the price of this rockets. I think shorting should be banned. share prices should reflect the true worth of a company, not the manipulated prices forced on it by greedy MM’s and shorters!
I remember someone saying before that if there is a sale it would have to get approval from the shareholders. So, even if there was an offer of NN shares, surely the price would go up before the sale and we would get a chance to sell within our ISA. Just speculating here as I have no idea but, if anyone has any experience in a similar situation, then would love to know.
@iknownuffin
I’m sorry you have a terminally ill daughter and can understand now where your anger comes from (I didn’t see your post further down about that so apologise) but, your anger should be directed at the fat cats at the top who have made a mess of the NHS with no checks and balances of where money is being directed. They have provided incentives for consultants to work privately at the expense of doing NHS work (while still using NHS facilities), spent billions on IT systems that don’t work and have subsequently been abandoned and spending extortionate amounts to source equipment and services from “approved suppliers”. Any funds used to provide medical help for an “immigrant” in need is tiny compared to the money they are wasting.
Obviously your name is very apt “iknownuffin”. Why don’t you go away and educate yourself before passing idiotic comments like that!
Such venom on this board, and so many people worked into a feeding frenzy. Take ceejay1awest’s post at 23:23 below. I’m calling him/her out as its typical of the type of herd mentality that goes on here. Ceejay, maybe you’d care to look back at my posts and show everyone where I’m actually deramping this share? Like I said before, I hold a number of these and want as much as the rest of you for it to come good. Yes, back when it was in suspension i made one negative remark wondering if the wording on a particulr RNS might be pointing to it being delisted (but obviously I was wrong). I’m quietly hopeful for this share but I’m venting my annoyance at people like you who seem to get great pleasure at jumping on the bandwagon and abusing anyone that isn’t saying anything positive about this share. How dare you accuse me of trying to steal peoples shares by de-ramping when I’ve done nothing of the sort. Read my original post and see that I’m sick of of the same ol same ol ‘news about to drop’ every time the share price moves.
Good luck to all and Good night!
Don’t take it to heart TheBuyer. There are bullies everywhere, especially when they can sit in the comfort and anonymity of a chat board!
Its a shame one can’t express an opinion without these bullies resorting to name calling and accusations (I’m sure there’s going to be at least one going to suggest we are one in the same person posting under different names!
...and it sounds like you were probably the school bully lowbands! I can’t understand why people like you feel the need to attack someone personally that expresses an opinion over a SHARE!!!
Feeling better now dear?
So, why do you think I’m here garyfromleeds since you are obviously all knowing?
Honestly, this board reminds me of a pack of hyenas attacking the first unfortunate that dares stand apart from the herd. The amount of accusations and venom on here is disgusting. Unless you work for Eurasia Mining no-one knows the outcome of this ultimately. I for one welcome speculations both good and bad so I can weigh up what level of risk I’m willing to take. To all the humorous, informative, and balanced viewed posters on here , THANK YOU.
For the rest, guess I’ll just have to continue wading through the muck!
So glad todays RNS came out and have to confess, I was one of the ones that was very sceptical that a NOMAD would be appointed before Friday. So just wondering, hypothetically if a sale was announced before suspension was lifted that valued the company at say 20p a share (totally random figures by the way plucked out of thin air before anyone jumps down my throat for not being realistic), I am assuming that loads of people would sell off some of their shares to make some profit. If say a few hundred million shares were sold off, would this push the share price down or would the fact that the company has a genuine value due to the buy price at 20p per share mean that it would stay at that price. I am genuinely looking for an answer and this is not intended to be in any way a ramp or speculation.
Its so sad when someone makes a suggestion on this board that is remotely negative, they are accused of being a deramper or a botfly (whatever that is!). The fact is, nothing anyone says (including someone as ill-informed as me) can make one iota of difference to the outcome. But, I would rather have a balanced view of the positives and negatives (or no views at all!). Was just trying to point out that theres more important things in life -obvious I know, but I don’t have any ulterior motive like wanting to come across as smug or trying to downplay the value of the resource!
Sorry if I’ve caused any offence-that was not my intention. GLA
Hah, well spotted BoB- no this is the right board - just me being stupid with my typing - EUA!!!
Jerrovian, I had started a post a few weeks ago but had only written a few words before i was dumped out of the page- so apologies if something had gone up and i hadn’t realised (in which case I’ve posted one and a half times including this one!)
