The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
Wishing all the workers out there a safe drilling operation.
Been following 88E since the days of the Globe and this feels different this time. Full 3D data and in the optimum drilling location. Going after stacked conventional targets with a high COS.
Good luck all.
Or the way I read it - not a disaster at all. Safe drilling program, total depth reached ahead of schedule and good shows on the 3 zones. Great RNS. The looneys are out in force this morning trying to drive this lower to buy in. Ask yourself why you would post on a share you don’t want to buy!
Really pleased with the decision to get Portland up and running before further work on the Kimmeridge. Also happy with confirmation that once the CPR is issued the chance of further dilution is minimal as the banks can lend against reserves in the ground.
Not worried about planning getting pushed back. It will take as long as it takes to get it done properly. It is important to remember we already have planning and all permits approved for the next 2 drills. Expecting the rig to arrive next week and away we go.
Given how methodical and organised SS/UKOG have been with regards to organisation and planning applications etc I can’t imagine he woke up one morning with a nagging thought in the back of his mind that something is missing...”oh bugger we need a rig!!” There will be a reason or forward plan for the delay but we PI’s don’t know it yet.
Just had a final top up at this price. Had a quick look and my buy is actually showing as a buy for a change. Nearly all blue trades shown and a few decent sized ones. Really do feel we are at the bottom here. Onwards and upwards eh. Come on SS - release the CPR.
I also think the delay could turn out to be positive. We are fully permitted for the next two drills. If we execute these safely and without incident it will prove to SCC that we are a trusted operator that follows procedures and permits correctly.
I’d be interested to know if a CPR means you have to stop testing (since you have garthered enough data for the CPR)? Our stated intent going forward is to keep testing into seemless production later in the year. Or can you issue CPR and continue gathering more testing info to back it up?
