urid, thanks for that, here is one right back to you regarding Hammerhead. Note the amount of Hammerhead extending into Orinduik. Originally posted by manicat… https://www.mapstand.com/blog/2019/08/12/tullows-gamble-guyana-pays/
itsyou, can you confirm Stena's 8.129167 -57.50517 position, or at least that it has moved.
No surprise really, the QP 'deal' hasn't been recognized by the government of Guyana. Pretty arrogant of Total and QP trying the end run around upcoming legislation. If QP wants in the game let them do it honestly by buying Eco's interests. Guyana may take this opportunity to let the players know who is in charge, I'd say the timing would be perfect for all concerned.
When Gil Holzman gets overly excited you might not want to take him literally, especially when it comes to dates and times.
Yes, but if you are building a position anyways, and knowing this will go much higher, one is never caught holding unwanted shares - just don't play/risk your core and get caught out come the eventual buy-out.
With much smaller volumes our gangsters need more swings.
The Jethro extension, pleeeze.
For a week over Jethro her LAT was 08 14 54.94. Maybe when it's free ...
I'll leave that up to noix to calculate. 6 minutes of change from her drilling position over Jethro is roughly 6 nautical if she were located at the equator, but once again, I'm a landlubber and in over my head here.
In all the excitement does anyone really care ... as of 2:54 UTC

TSX-V opens @ 9:30 am.
According to her noon report she is still over Jethro. She either moved and came back or perhaps 'Marine Traffic' isn't worth much.
The position in upper right hand corner matches what I last posted in respect to degrees and minutes. The previous position was different , the difference noix calculated in kilometres.
Sorry, that s/h read ~ 37 klicks.
noix, Tullow's 'Jethro-1 Well Result' report, Slide 4, would suggest Jethro-1 and Joe are ~ 27 klicks apart. This is very rough and those slides are illustrative at best but do the change in co-ordinates correspond roughly to that distance.
Marine Traffic Data reports Midnight Position of Stena Forth unchanged from the co-ordinates reported for her Noon Time Position yesterday. Midnight Position report time was 2019-08-18 03:38 UTC, her speed at the time .1 knots.
Can we assume she has stopped over Joe drill site?
Her noon position … Long 08 08 46.17 Lat 057 16 40.22
Is that a significant change in terms of miles?
UTC is currently 11:47, there should be a new report issued soon but I may not be home.
Thank you, I only surmised that she had moved but didn't know how far.
Position Lat/Lon: 8.14616° / -57.27784° , the position of drill location.
Her speed at midnight was just .2 knots. Not much but then they aren't going far. Could this be due to their not needing to secure everything like they would for a transatlantic voyage at greater speeds?
Stena Forth Midnight Position: N 08 08' 44.99" - W 57 16' 40.18"
I'm a landlubber but I'd say she has moved since her noon position yesterday.
Maverick, I'm still not 100% sold on the QP issue unless I've missed a press release from Georgetown. In your scenario will Eco go at the same time or post Tullow farm-out?
