Nothing new , it's getting it incorporated that's the sticking point.

The KRG don't have any production costs so presumably that would be paid to the IOC's whether deducted from revenues or reimbursed by ICG. That then leads on to KRG requiring full share of budget and on it goes.....

So keeping it very simple the major issue seems to be SOMO/ICG want to receive all the revenue from exports and reimburse KRG for production and transport costs. However the KRG would like to be paid their associated costs prior to ICG receiving the balance of revenues. In theory both options should be the same but it's all a matter of trust. Don't know why both sides have dicked about pretending it's all going to be ok when a compromise is out of the question from both parties.

Not sure if that's a trick question but the ITP agreement is due to expire Sept 2025

Perhaps this frees up Turkey to use part of the export pipeline in their country as they please and the KRG pipeline is already connected as per pre-shutdown.

There are others who believe no exports can ever re-start without SOMO being in charge and giving their approval .

Is it reasonable to at least consider that the $32 pb discount might be less when exports restart and Kurdistan crude is deemed to be legal and above board? Hopefully the approx. $10 per barrel KBT discount will be a thing of the past?

First of all ICG and KRG have to reach agreement on oil exports, then possibly new written contracts, then overdue/outstanding and future payments for the APIKUR members . Nothing new to say until all that has been sorted.

Good news though, personally I'd be happy to see oil being exported via Kirkuk - Ceyhan pipeline as at least it would break the stalemate of nothing ever happening. Maybe some KRG oil could be added to the mix which might encourage a deal??

It's all just opinions and guessing at the moment.

There's as much chance of the above as there is of an agreement via SOMO and exports restarting Q2 as per your latest adjusted assumption but that's just my opinion not a fact.
