Directorate Changes
Frank Amato will join the Board as a Non-Executive Director, and is a former Executive Director at JPMorgan with 18 years of experience in traditional finance, specialising as a precious metals market maker and derivatives (options) trader. He has been an active angel investor in crypto, Web3, and blockchain since early 2014. His early involvement includes purchasing Bitcoin through the U.S. Marshals Service Silk Road auction via SecondMarket, serving as a pre-seed investor in BitMEX, and participating as an early member of Blockchain Capital's AngelList syndicate (including investments in Blockstream, Ripple Labs, and Tierion). Frank also serves as a fintech advisor to the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) and as a trading and derivatives consultant to Sovereign AI (Nasdaq: SVRN).
Hernán M. Yellati, PhD, will join the Board as a Non-Executive Director. Hernán is an accomplished economist with more than 20 years of experience spanning banking, macroeconomics, econometrics, and emerging technologies including crypto, Web3, and blockchain. He is currently Partner and Global Head of Macroeconomic Research and Strategy at Borderless Capital, a leading digital asset investment firm based in Miami. At Borderless Capital, he leads global macroeconomic research, optimises institutional-grade investment strategies, and spearheaded the post-acquisition migration of more than 50 limited partners and $30 million in assets following the acquisition of CTF Capital. Hernán is a frequent speaker at global conferences and a contributor to major financial media, including Bloomberg and the Financial Times.
Board Advisory Committee
In line with its new strategy, BMV has also formed a new Board Advisory Committee ("the Committee"). The Committee has been established to provide independent, specialist advice to the Board across mining operations, financial strategy, and governance matters. The Committee will support informed decision-making on capital allocation, regulatory compliance, and risk management, drawing on deep industry and financial expertise to strengthen oversight and long-term value creation.
The initial members of the Committee will comprise:
1. Paul Ray, CEO of Raptor Capital International. Paul is a seasoned surveyor with nearly 50 years of experience in the global mining and exploration industry. He has held senior roles at major organisations including Theiss Bros and Placer Exploration and Development Corporation. Paul's expertise spans geodetic, geophysical, and geological surveys, property acquisition and assessment, negotiations, contracts, logistics, and public relations. He has successfully discovered, developed, and joint-ventured mining properties across Australia and the Pacific region. He has also served on the boards of numerous public and private exploration and mining companies worldwide.
2. John Webb, FCCA, Owner and Director of GB Trust SARL,
